Every year its the same thing- WAIT AND HOPE AND PRAY for FD. you would think I would book a bounceback but nooooooooooooooooooooo!
This is more of a booking help type question though.

Okay- Currently have a 2bedroom OKW booked for labor day weekend. 6 adults.
wishing and stalking for FD.
Lets say it comes out for our dates, I go online and modify my reservation when I see its avail to FD, right? easy peasy.

BUT-Scenario 2 is that when i attempt to modify there's no a availability (GASP). I have no back up plan, I need 6 beds. The other 2 bedrooms with 6 beds are too expensive. At this point I'd like to book 3 rooms at a moderate resort. Here's where my big question comes:

What the heck do I do now???
How can i book 3 rooms online (waiting until 7am is not an option!)?
Do i cancel my 2 bedroom? can I put all 3 under my name, or will i need the log on for at least 2 other adults in my party and search 3 times and put 3 $200 deposits down?

going crazy

I'm just slightly confused is the 2 bedroom currently not enough or can you not afford the 2 bedroom with out free dinning?

If you can't afford it with out the free dinning then your better bet would be to book the 3 rooms at a mod that you can afford now and then when free dinning comes out book the 2 bedroom on FD if available and cancel the 3 other rooms. That way you don't have to call. Of course this is only doable if you can have the amount of 2 deposits on hold for a couple of days after the refund.

Yes, you would need to make 3 separate reservations for three mod rooms. And you can't be the lead guest on all of the rooms, so you will need to pick two other guests to be lead guests on the other two reservations. And, yes, you will need to put down 3, $200 deposits to book 3 rooms.

Would it not be cheaper to book through David's Vacation Rental and buying the dining plan? I don't know because I've never done this, but it is worth a shot. Depends when you want to go. Sometimes renting isn't a great value depending on the season. And if the reservation is soon there may not be availability.
ETA - for giggles I looked up a week in September. $5079 from Disney. $3255 from David. So $1824 to put towards a dining plan. If it is 6 adults then this would cost more (it's about $70/day for dining plan). But if there are kids in that mix, it may work out.
I didn't check other seasons.

I never recommend booking a room you can't afford unless a discount is released. There are no guarantees, and even if there are discounts released, if your resort's occupancy is high enough, then there won't be any discounts released there.

I would agree with the poster who suggested booking the three mod rooms now and upgrading if a discount comes out later. There is nothing worse than knowing others are changing their reservations online and you can't. It's always easier to just be able to go online and book the discounted room right away, and then go back and cancel the other reservation later.

Were the 2 bedroom villas even included in FD last year? I would think that with the limited availability of 2br villas they wouldn't even offer free dining.

I agree. I also suggest that if FD or any other discount is the deal breaker for a trip, so not book at all.

OP- I also had trouble following the post. But I took from it that you want FD, and that you hope booking the rooms ensure you will get that discount. It does not work that way, and in fact booking ahead actually works against the promotion. If you are going no matter the discount offered, book the rooms or rooms you will be happy with, and if you cannot make the change later, you still have what you need. More expensive, but wha you want. DO not book the resort you would like but cannot justify without a discount. If the discount is not offered, what do you do? Cancel a trip you planned on, or pay more than you can afford?

I am not at all sure what the discounts will be this year. With CBR and CSR undergoing major construction, those resorts may see discounts, but do you want to stay there? POFQ and POR are the resorts that folks were moc=fed to when they decided they did not want to stay in a construction zone, so I bet discounts at those two mods will be at a bare minimum.

Doesn't an OKW 2BR only have 5 beds?
1 King(master)
1 pull out chair (living room)
1 queen pullout couch (living room)
2 queen beds (2nd bedroom)

Yes they were. That is exactly what I booked our Bounceback for our trip this year. We have a party of 9 going this year and needed the 2 bedroom villa. We booked at OKW too.

The sleep between 8-9 since the queen/king beds are all for 2 adults.

Ok. I can't resist. The BB costs 200 bucks. Why wouldn't anyone on the earth book it to secure it. Just me poking fun at your pain. Pixie Dust will fall. Always does.
