I called this afternoon to switch my Feb AKL-Standard reservations to Jan 16-23 AKL-Standard because of the BRP rate decrease for Jan 16-Feb 4. I gave my information to a very nice CM and she told me that she had to check on something and would be right back to me. I figured she would tell me my rate was 840.78 like it said on the BRP online reservation screen and that would be that. When she came back her supervisor asked me my address and stuff like that and she put me on hold. At this point I was wondering what was going on. The CM finally came back and told me that I had a special pin code attached to my name and that my rate was going to be 679.28 ($97.04 night)
. She did tell me that this pin rate was only good for 7 nights max so I couldn't increase my stay and use this rate.
Being sceptical about this, I checked my reservation online and the same rate came up, and I called twice more and talked once to another CM and once to a supervisor and was told that 679.28 was the correct rate. Some don't mind the parking lot view and some do, however for $97.04, I willl take the parking lot view and say thank you.
I guess this is what Disney magic is all about. The funny thing is when you least expect it, that's when the Disney magic happens.
