hi all,
the FDNY gave us the flu shot over 2 months ago and i have no fever.here's what i do have to be nice i have severe lower digestive upset really bad,projectile vomiting,abd cramps bad,severe weakness body wide.there is no way i'm pregnant (i don't think)i ate mc donalds last night i have'nt had that in a year.i'm going with either food poisioning or this stuff was just too greasy for my body.

Rhode Island has recently experienced an increase in Norovirus infection. This spike in Norovirus infection occurs every year around this time. Norovirus causes short-term, gastro-intestinal illness, sometimes referred to as “stomach flu” (this is NOT the same infection as influenza). Symptoms include the sudden onset of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Although exact counts are not available, health care providers throughout Rhode Island are reporting some cases of Norovirus-like illness. Some cases have been confirmed by laboratory tests at the state laboratory

Do you have a fever? If you do then it's probably a stomach virus. The good news is you'll feel better tomorrow or the next day. The bad news is you'll pray for death between now and then. If you don't have a fever or chills, I'd lean toward food poisoning. The stomach bug has been really bad this year - our family got it twice in a two month period. It's highly contagious.

There is a stomach bug going around and that sounds like it or food poisoning. If it were the real Influenza you wouldn't be vomiting. That is a respiratory thing, not a puke your guts out thing. If you had the real influenza, the one you get the shot for, you wouldn't be online, you would be in bed with body aches so bad your hair will hurt.

Ahhh yes, I'm still getting over the same thing. I got sick last week (Tuesday before Christmas) I couldn't keep anything down for about 3 days. In fact the doctor gave me meds to stop the vomiting and diarrhea because I was becoming to dehydrated and he was afraid I would have to be hospitalized. It's not fun. I finally started feeling better about 4 days later but to be honest I'm still not back to normal yet. Lots of fluids, Tylenol and rest. Feel better.
