OMG! I am OBSESSED with DisBoards! Ahh - Support Group needed...

Still here and still addicted Going back to work after spending the summer on the dis has left me with withdrawl . I can't even get on the computer Mondays and Tuesdays with our schedules and the weekends are busy catching up any housework and cooking that didn't get done during the week. Today, hubby is teaching music lessons so I'm sneeking in some very needed and well deserved dis - time. If only the kids would behave Anyway, I'm loving any time I can get to daydream, plan, buy stuff for, or anything for our trip.

Had to post what happened earlier this evening. I have been good and haven't been on the disboards as much lately and look what happens!?!

"To tell you the truth.....I was doing a search on the internet, as we speak, on where I could buy a doughboy in Maine without going to the fair tonight. Can you believe it I was looking to buy a doughboy tonight and this pops up on the search. I wasn't even on here!!!!
oh oh, my husband walked in!!! He sees the disboards, but doesn't realize at first that I was doing a doughboy search for our date tonight! Then he see's doughboy, and says "You got to be kidding, doughboy popped up on this!!" He said he was going to send me away to an addicts meeting! This was way too funny! See Disney shows up in everything! We were just talking about our next trip to plan. (I had the photo album out...my daughter says this makes me want to go mom.)

So, btw, where are the doughboys in Disney?

Hello fellow addicts! I have been terribly bad with getting on the Dis regularly since about mid-summer. We got back from our latest Disney trip on the 8th and have been counting the days until we go again. Me and DH have planned a weekend getaway for the last weekend of the F&W Festival...people laugh at us when we say that the 10 days were were at Disney were not enough. Oh well...guess they'll never understand.

Anyone have some great trip plans to share? We are pretty much winging this next trip-no ADR's. I figure we will mostly eat at the stands in Epcot and of course Beaches and Cream is a favorite too. For four days, I think we'll be allright. We are staying at the Poly. We just loved the view for Wishes and the water pageant.

I, too, have been off the DIS boards lately. But as for Disney addiction? Well, we went from 9/18-9/21 - not enough time. Booked bounce back for next September. Booked a trip with my mom and dad for March 2008. And then booked a trip with my best friend - her first ever - for January.

Hello out there and Happy Holidays my fellow addicts!!!!

I have been super busy and have not had the time I have wanted to spend on the Dis! We did have a Snow Day last monday and I did spend some time poking around on here, just no posts. Ebay has cosnsumed most of my time these days... So whats new out there? How is everyone? Any thing new in the World of Disney? Only 3 months til our trip. We are all very excited,but will have more time to focus on it after Christmas!!! Happy Posting!!

I know what you mean about being so busy with the holidays. It has been tough to find the time to Dis. I try and read when I can, but we have had so much to do in a short time. Why is it that time flies so quickly after Thanksgiving? I had to laugh about spending so much time on Ebay-I'm kind of guilty of that too...sometimes I just like to look and not even buy so much...cheap entertainment!

You must be getting exciting about your upcoming trip...its nice to have that to look forward to after all the Christmas craziness dies down.

Hello Fellow Addicts. I am totally addicted right now. My wife thinks I am the only grown man alive that is addicted to WDW and this website. I started a thread (below) to see if there were any more DIS Dad's out there and .... all I can say is... THANK GOD for those guys! Now I know that there is nothing wrong with me for being FANATICAL about Disney. Also, I love the DIS boards . I know I have a trip in 8 days but I have been excited about this site for months now. Thank you to all the DISers out there for the theraputic post. It feels good to know that I am normal and it's O.K. to be a BIG Kid!

Sounds like all is well with most of our fellow addicts! And I mean that in the nicest way!! I hope everyone is (getting) ready for the Holidays and having fun doing it! I try to remember that our kids are only little for so long - they grow very fast! I was getting all stresed out today when DS1 was wanting to climb ALL OVER me when I was trying to get stuff done. I just took a deep breath and scooped him right up! He is only going to be this age at Christmas time Just once!! And being that he is our last and our youngest - i take ote of it as often as I can!! Now that our vacation is 48 days away, I am more obsessed than ever. Holidays are keeping me busy, but I'm reading my 2008 version of all my disney books, buying things for the trip like goodies for the kids, clothing, decorations for our resort window, etc. By the time the kids are back in school after Christmas, I'm sure I'll be too excited to sleep well and Christmas is just around the corner!!!!!

actually I am more obsessed than ever!! We got back three weeks ago and I have been on the DIS constantly. My DH thought that since we took the trip that would take care of my obsession for a while and he wouldn't hear about Disney for a long time. He was so wrong! I think this trip just added fuel to the fire!

Now I just have to convince him we need to go back in 2009! Luckily I have the kids to help me out with this!

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope evryone survived the Holidays as well! I am so glad when that time of year arrives, and I am so glad when its over!! I am sure I am n the same boat with a lot of folks!

Now that the Holidays are over, I can focus on our Disney Vacation!!! Christmas time is just soo busy to multi-task. Now I can let the count dwn begin!

Although i start to feel overwhelmed and wonder if I should be spending $4,000+ on a weeks vacation!!?? I know once I/we get there and the departure days approach I will be excited, but I sometimes stop and wonder why its so expensive and why I think its ok to spend all that! Its almost like the thrill is over, once the vacation is booked. Its seems like theres more fun to hunt and scower for deals and great rates, and once the booking is done, all the thrill is gone?? Anyone else feel like this or am I weird? Its almost like that anxiety you feel I'm telling you - this is the prime exapmple of why Disney and The Dis Boards are so darn Addicting!!

Hi, I'm Michelle and I too have a DIS addiction. It keeps me off of Ebay and is cheaper so DH doesn't complain too much.

Okay, I have to make a confession: I have a terribly hip SIL who decided to join us on our last trip to Disney. Of course, being terribly hip, she thought it beneath her to actually do any research on the trip, particularly a trip to Disney, so she left it up to me to do everything. Which of course, I secretly loved. But when I would make suggestions, she would say "How did you know that?" and I would say "Oh, my neighbor told me." Because I knew she would just DIE if I told her about this board. It's bad enough I don't do yoga and I've never been on a snowboard!

Anyway, I'd just like to say it here: I'm Chris. And I'm addicted to this board. And you know what, we had a great trip because of it.

But I'm still not telling my SIL.

I very much agree with your post!! I, too, have a SIL that I will not share this board with!!! God forbid she know what I know or how I know it! Its kind of like a little cheat sheet in Math class - all this great info and such great resources, I want to keep it all to myself yet get the beneift of being the ALL KNOWING Disney GuRu of the family!! Truth be known, I am really not the ALL KNOWING, but because of everyone here on The Dis, I can pretend to be!!! And she might read what I have written about her and the rest of my family on/in here!!!

I also do not Snowboard, nor do I do Yoga, but we have waaaay better vacations beause of it!! I do ski ,however, and chase 3 active little boys!! Close enough in my book!

I think my obsession is at an all time high. My trip is 17 days away and my sister flew to the world today! I didn't think it could get any worse, but as our trip gets closer.....
