I'm a bit obsessed with travel, so not Disney (although I do love to go) per se, but I think about vacation planning quite often. Not exactly "living in the moment" though is it? I need to work on that!

Good Morning all! Only two weekdays left until school starts... Where has the summer gone? I ca honestly say that this summer hasnt been wonderfu, I felt like we had something going on all the time. But its still better than a great day at work! And I would faaar rather e here than at school! Thanks everyone for your kind words. All miy siblings are finally gone and not w/o a little family drama. What kind of family function would it be w/o it?? I was glad to see them come, but eve more to see them go!! I have my house back.

Speaking of coffee - - POLY does have GREAT coffee! I will sometimes buy Kona Coffee at the grocery store just so that I can be reminded of WDW/POLY through out the year... It brings my Disney obsessions to a whole new leval. Disney has to get rid of that NesCafe crap! It is horrendous! Tastes like Mickey Mouse stirred my coffee with a cigarette butt!!?? Nasty!

DH threw me for a curve ball the other day... He said skip US/IOA and he and I do a few days away from the kids - leave them with the inlaws.... Ithink its a great idea! But can we still squeeze a few days in at US/IOA, too?? Its not Disney, but still a close 2nd.... Now I have to start researching and planning that!? Myabe a DCL would be fun? Naaa - I couldt do that to my kids! WDW is about kids and family, we can do that when they have all flown the coop!

I hope you have tons of fun! ixiedust: Thank goodness the weather has gone by, you are likely to get some great temps and lots of sun! The calm after the storm so to speak!! We had great weather when we wer there after Katrina! Make it magical and take lots of photos, we expect to hear ALL about it when you return!

Yeah, DH won't even consider a Disney Trip without the kids now. We went when I graduated from college (we were just BF and GF then).

DH and I are going to NYC in October just the two of us His sister lives there so we are staying with her (cause y'all know we are broke! ) and we had airline miles to use for the flight up. I was planning on letting him pick what he wants to do there since he's so sweet about the Disney stuff/craziness/obsession. But he's like, eh whatever you want to do. So, I actually found a thread on the DIS about free things to do in NYC! It does always come back to Disney with me!

Your not going to believe it, my husband noticed the radiator was leaking(just started because he's been checking the van over), so he found that at 7 ish and replaced it! And packed and in bed! He's awesome! We would have lost a day if he couldn't have replaced it. Just pray all goes well on the trip!

Hello All!

I am sucking up my last few days of Disney Freedom, curfing the boards and reading allkinds of threads and posts! School starts Tuesday and we have a busy weekend of end of the summer cook outs, school cloths shopping, my sisters bachalorette party ((can I just say on a side note that this wedding business is EXPENSIVE! I feel like I am paying for something everythime I turn around!! )) and yard work. Oh, and housework, puppy duty, and QT with the hubby and kids... Then its back to the grind! I am ready though... The boys are at each others throats, and frankly -I am broke! The summer of was great, but I am ready for a few extra dollars every week!

We have much of the same going on here at our house. School starts on Wednesday for the kids, but DD has orientation on Tuesday. We're all done school shopping, but still have to get haircuts for the kids.

Last night we came back from a quick trip to Newport, RI. We try and go up for a few days each summer. This year DH couldn't come because of work, so it was just me and the kids. Nice time, but as all vacations-it was much too short. I was just glad to do something nice to end summer for the kids.

5 1/2 weeks until we are back "home" at Disney. It can't come soon enough. I'm sure by the time I get through this next month I'll need the vacation. My head is already swimming thinking about the piles of paperwork I'll be filling out from the schools and then trying to jockey all the back to school nights.

Hey...anybody start holiday shopping yet? I picked up 2 or 3 things for the kids and tucked them away already. I just happened on some stuff and figured, what the heck...start thinking Christmas because it will be here soon enough.

Hello everyone! Well we are all settled in school here now. My baby started prechool last week. We were both surprisingly tear-free!

We picked up the "BIG" present for the year already and I plan on getting some more stuff this month. We always say we aren't gonna wait until December but we always do. This year I vowed not to wait! Although the one time we picked up an early birthday present we completely forgot about it until we moved and found it in the closet!
