OMG! How busy is December 3 going to be!!!???

After reading that now the parade is a confirmation for that day..how busy is the actual park going to be that weekend? Anyone have a clue? Or been down before during the taping of the Parade??

According to other posts on this subject, Main Street will be inaccessible, but the rest of the park shouldn't be too bad. I would hop on the train and avoid Main Street when you get there.

Remember though once they stop filming all those extras are allowed to stay in the park. The one time we were there the day of the parade it was nuts. If you can I would advise going to a different park that day, or even changing to another park for the later part of your day

we were there unwittingly for the filming last year, we enetered te park looked at the madness up mainstreet, turned round and went to another park. we are travelling from the uk on december 3rd this year, so wont even be attempting to go into wdw this day.

We will be at Epcot that day and attempt to head over to the MK after illuminations. If it is as described by that time of night, we will turn around as well. We're hoping the throngs will be gone by then so we can get on a few rides and close the park down. I wouldn't go anywhere near there in the a.m or afternoon. Tried that before and never again.

The couple times i've been in MK during filming days, once you get past the madness on main street, the park is practically empty! we walked on every single ride, some parts of the park hardly had any people at all. I wouldn't let the parade scare you away, it's all centered around main street, or wherever they happen to be filming but it's easily avoidable if you know the shortcuts (tomorrowland terrace, ad-lib bridge, cut through from adv. land to frontierland, back walkway from toontown to space). I liked watching the christmas parade, knowing i was in the park that day. We even hung around main street for awhile to see clay aiken, regis and kelly and robin roberts.
