OMG... Dana Reeves died

That is sad. A kid in our junior high lost both his parents within two years. And kids made fun of him about it.

I'm so sorry for those kids.

Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!! Tell me what possible thing you can come up with to make fun of someone who lost BOTH of their parents so quickly or even at all.

This is just about the most awful thing I have ever heard.

Very sad but not unexpected. Lung cancer cures have been elusive since my Dad died of it in 1976. My dad unfortunately was a smoker. I understand that Dana Reeves was not.

She was a non smoker; lung cancer among that universe is rare but not unheard of. When it does hit non smokers, it usually comes later in life; she was only 44.

An amazing woman with such grace and dignity through such a difficult time. The only sense I can make of it is that clearly she has an important place in heaven! Oh how I feel for their teenage son, the rumor mill had it that he had applied for a spot in my DD's class next year.

OMG, wasn't she just diagnosed in November?

I thought it was August, but either way very recently.
I had no idea the cancer was so bad. I hadn't heard anything about her recently, so assumed she was doing well. How very sad for the family.
