So, I got the 3 nights at Hojo for 50% off Tues, Wed. Thurs.,
However, we are now able to leave this Sat. and I can't find a decent hotel for under 100$ OR should I say, I'm trying on Google maps but every time I find one I go to the tripadvisor reviews and I get scared:confused3

I am NOT picky, do NOT need a luxury place, just something decent, clean (hopefully) and it doesn't even have to be close, we have a car. I just don't know the area or the hotel/motels and of course it's summer and last minute.

If ANYONE can make a few suggestions (want to keep it a little less than 100$ a night) I would be MOST grateful :worship:

Did you try priceline bidding? For research before bidding. There is a website called better bidding that has a forum where people share what the bid and won and a list of what hotels usually fall into each star rating.

Did you know that HOJO's has a disboards discount of 15% off? I'm not sure if that will put you under $100 a night though, but at least it will help a little. The code is LNDB. I think it's pretty tough to find somewhere close by for less that $100 a night in July.

The Motel 6 Maingate on Disney Way! I've stayed there many times and am staying there next weekend. It's under $100 and .80 miles from the gate!!

try Choice Hotels web site they have several price levels. several near HoJo.

Wait. You're frustrated because you get two more days in the parks? Scratching my head on that one.

If you want walking distance, it'll need to be over $100 without extraordinary discounts. And honestly, I don't know that I'd want a hotel that was under $100 and close to DL. Ever hear the old saying, "You get what you pay for"? I've made that mistake before. Spend the extra money and feel confident about your purchase.

See if that day will work with HOJO's Facebook discount of 25% off <LKME> or use the disboards discount of 15% off. You can either email or call them and they can add on the discount for your new day.

I was almost going to stay at Anaheim Islander Inn & Suites for my trip in November, but I changed to HOJO after they came out with 50% off deal. It sounds like a good place though, I did quite a bit of research on it.

Check out their TripAdvisor reviews:
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Re...lander_Inn_and_Suites-Anaheim_California.html

They are a bit over $100 including taxes though...depending on the season between $90-$130.

Stop going to TripAdvisor and scaring yourself. If it's on Harbor, Manchester, Disney Way, or Katella someone here has stayed there and liked it, and it's within reach of an ART bus to get you to the parks. You'll be fine :)

Can't thank everyone enough. As I took a break from searching I thought I'd try calling Hojo again and seeing if anything opened up. (HONESTLY, given the time/season/last minute) I was convinced there would be nothing...
HOWEVER, she said there was the same room that JUST opened up AND I could use my AP 20% off. Not less than 100$ a night but I'll pay the extra for piece of mind and the same hotel!!!
Whew, so glad that worked out :)
And HUGE thanks to you all!!

good deal. that will make the trip smoother and less stressful. a few dollars savings is not worth the hassle of moving.

Where/how did you get the HOJO for 50% off?

when booking future trips make sure you clear your cookies on your PC.. this way you will get new travel information.... when you go back to that site.. it will just rehash the same info, but not update per say.. if you have not cleared your cookies...

Where/how did you get the HOJO for 50% off?

I got an email on July 21st at 10:02am with the select dates and got right on the phone to see if the 3 days in a row were still available. I think I was on hold for nearly 10 min and thought, oh well...wasn't meant to be...but sure enough when they got on the line the room was available.

Then found out that we could go the Sat and all the days before the mid week Hojo reservation and after being online for the past several days trying to find a place to stay I called Hojo...yet again, and today the same building had a room open up so I added on and she asked if I had any discounts and rattled them all off. I told her we JUST got our AP's so she took 20% off of the new rooms :)

Needless to say I am over the moon and was in the right place at the right time and was able to do a last min trip :)
I actually LOVE last min trips bec I don't have to wait so long to get there...hehehe, and I don't over plan or pack...just go and have fun :)

We stayed at the Annabella with a AAA discount. I think it was $85/night.
It is definitely walking distance.

Sign up for HOJO's e-mails. They just e-mailed their new dates for their Super Family rate the other day. You have to show the e-mail with your name on it to get the discount.
