OMG!!! ADR computer system is DOWN!!

Safe to say that you don't have FREE Dining? At this rate we may see you at Denny's :rotfl:!!

My CM, Jennifer, has put me on hold :scared1:!! I only got one ressie made...8 to go....JENNIFER, where are you????

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...her computer has frozen!!! I am holding the line while she reboots. I think it's ME!!! Her computer sailed thru all morning with no problems and then I came along.

Rebooting did not work. She is trying to find a co-worker with a functioning computer and will transfer me to them. Holy guacamole, if their computer dies I am giving up!!! Still holding.....

We don't have free dining (DVC) and I'm perfectly happy that we don't. I already have our meals planned for off-site. It's not that difficult to eat off-site since we take a big afternoon break anyways.

Can you imagine all the people who have signed up for the free dining and didn't make ressies right at the 90 day mark? They are going to end up getting ressies at the Cast Members breakroom. LOL.

I went through this same ordeal most of the day Monday and this is Wednesday. Seriously, this should have been fixed long ago.

Disney should be embarassed and I feel so sorry for the poor CMs that have to keep telling people their system is down.

Got everything we wanted, just not exactly on the days that we were hoping. Funny thing is this isn't even MY trip! It's a co-workers 1st trip and I wanted to make sure she got the dining venues that she wanted. I get to do this nightmare all over again for my October trip!

I feel really badly for all you folks trying to get ADRs. Hope you all get your ressies. Good luck to all!
 

I called at 7am and was on hold about 5min. Fortunately I got all the ressies I wanted but 2 of the times I am not happy with. One is for LeCellier lunch and the other for Ohana dinner. I will keep trying back to see if they have earlier times on both. For 50s Diner I had to actually switch park days to get my lunch time. I am so sorry that others have had a horrible morning. Dont give up just keep trying back.
 
If they are telling you the system is down, then why are some of the computers able to make reservations? If the SYSTEM is down, none of the CMs would be able to access it. Sounds like individual computers are freezing as opposed to the system failing.
A company the size of Disney should not have this issue. I understand that there is a glut of calls right now due to free dining, but this seems to be an ongoing problem.
 
I can't make ADR's untill Aug, but i have been following this mess and it is getting ridculous!! I just hope this doesn't happen when the online system releases to the general public. I have to wonder if the problem is that TA's are making onlie ressies at the same time CM's are doing it over the phone nad they are ending up double booking tables. I think it is probvably a problem meshing the two systems.
 
Guess I must have someone watching over me for ADR luck. We called on Sun. a 7 and were done in 15 mins. with everything we wanted. Wasn't happy with the time for LeCellier on 8/19 (4:50) but took it. I called at 7 this morning and was done in 5 min. with a new time on the 19th for LeCellier and cancelled the original. Must have just beat the computer crash and also had the greatest CM (Carly) helping.
 
I have to say, I was on the phone right at 7 EST, it took me about 40 minutes to get through. I had 4 reservations done when my cm's computer locked up so I lost everything. I called back 4 more times before I got my reservations. The last time at 2pm I got the same 4 reservations I had gotten in my original call from 7am. If I had it to do over I'd wait until noon to call, the availability didn't really seem to change!
 
We are making our ADRs now and there is absolutely nothing. We have to sit at seperate tables for everything that we did get and our times are all over the place. We are going from the 18th-26th and there was no Primetime dinner that whole time.

Those are my exact dates and I just called at 1:45pm and got 50's Primetime Cafe for Wed., Aug. 19 @ 8:35pm

Those are my exact dates too! I called at 2:00 today and got 50's for 8/23 at 5:30. We're a party of 7 so we're being told split tables too but from what the cm told me most of the time they will seat you at the same table anyway or at tables next to each other. Not all restaurants have tables of 7 anyway.
 
Apparently Mercury is in retrograde and then tends to negatively affect electronics and communications :confused3 . Says the women typing from the desktop keyboard she had to attach to her laptop since it is no longer working:eek: .
 
I'm going from August 18th to the 26th so today was the first day I could call to make ADR's. A couple days ago my son and I got sick and I had every intention of getting up and getting on the phone at 7am today but that didn't happen. We didn't get up until around noon and I was running a fever of 102. I didn't get around to calling until about 2pm, so I was freaking out thinking I wasn't going to be able to get anything I wanted. Apparently from what all of you are saying it's a good thing that I called a little later! The CM I spoke with never said anything about a problem with the system, but she did make 5 reservations at a time and then confirmed them just in case. I almost hate to share this, but I even lucked out big time- I told her I wanted a dinner ADR at Crystal Palace, and for some reason a 7pm at Cinderella's Royal Table came up, so I told her to put me down for it. I was one of the lucky ones today who was able to get everything they wanted I guess. Good luck to anyone else who still has to call! :thumbsup2

Yayy for you! But I don't get it! I called and they had nothing. We plan on calling back one day in the afternoon to see if we can get better times.

Definitely calling 45 days in advance to see if there are any cancellations.

I had one CM who checked smaller blocks of time for me to get what I was looking for. For example I had said between 6 and 7:00 and the computer gave her 5:30 so she said lets try a later time slot and see what we get. She tried 6:30 to 7:30 and I ended up with something like 6:20. I can't remember the actual details of it but the point is it was giving us times outside of the times we were requesting. We were able to see different availability by looking at a different timeframe. It made no sense! So I suggest giving them times in 1/2 hour or 1 hour blocks and then moving around that block if you arent' presented with a time that works for you.
 
They can't find our trip reservation!! Was able to book for exactly 90 days but since they can't find our resort----bite my tongue! They just found it---after 20 min---but they think we live in nyc?! IDK but I'm able to make dining reservations so I guess that is all that matters!

My Address is wrong with dining too - not with regular reservations, just dining.
 
I'm so scareddd!! I make our reservations on Sunday - I'll be camping in the middle of the woods (praying for service) and I'll have no computer to access DIS to vent to you guys!:eek:
