Olympus FE240 ???

Hi all! I did a search but didn't come up with anything related to this camera. Anyone have an opinion on it?

Just so you know, my photography needs are not huge. I just like to take decent shots of the kids' sporting events and things like close ups at Disney.

I have been using a Canon PowerShot SD100(she admits with shame) for several years, and never minded it much. Lately, I am just realizing that I am annoyed by how little I can zoom.

The FE240 has a 5x zoom.

Thanks for any thoughts you have on this.

That looks like a foreign model number. Do you know the US equiv.?

P.S. If you buy an out of US model in the US, you will not likely have a US warranty.

And just so you know this camera uses xD cards. xD cards are a little pricier and have slower write speeds.

Thank you both so much for this information. I had no clue it was a foreign camera. I think I'll just head over to Best Buy and check the cameras out in person. Thanks again.

I went to Curcuit City and it turns out that the Olympus FE240 is not a foreign camera. I really liked it a lot. Great size, nice zoom, easy menu options.
