Wow! I'm happy for you! I saw that price drop. B&H still has it at $753 with free shipping. I'm interested to know your impressions of the size of the E30 compared to your 510. I honestly don't know, if I were to buy today, whether I would get the 30 or the 620. We were in Virginia last week and I took the 12-60, 50, and pancake along.
It was the first time I used the 12-60 so extensively and in different settings and it's a good focal length for me for a walk around lens. I would find the 14-42 to be too short a lot of times. However, that thing gets heavy, especially in the 90 degree heat last week there.
When I upgrade next year, I will also probably get a Pen to go along with a new body, whichever one it is. The Pen I think would be great for places like WDW and when I want to travel light.
What camera bag did you get? I recently got the Jill-E small camera bag for around town because I wanted something that didn't look like a camera bag. My Kata is getting to be a tight fit, but I do like it a lot. I'll probably sell my 6 million dollar home.
So is your son getting your 510?
Ha! Yes, my DS is getting the 510. He's happy. I like the PEN, too, but I won't be able to afford that setup for a while. I wound up giving my newer S3IS to my DD and she's happy. It seemed only fair. She reiterated she didn't want a dSLR (thankfully

), and she knows how to use the S3 since I've had one since 2006. I'll keep my older, slightly broken S3 in my purse.
I got the Slingshot 302. I debated about getting the 200 but that 50-200 is huge as well as my favorite (so it will be on a lot) and it will be nice to stick it in the bag without taking it off, so that made the decision for me. I'd rather have too much room than not enough. I recently took my stuff out of the Crumpler and put it back in my Slingshot 100 and it wouldn't even close.

I think between the two the Slingshot has held up better. The Crumpler seems to have crumpled on itself.
I've seen some comparisons of size and it seems as if it will be quite a bit bigger. Going into this size was an issue for me. I guess I imagined I'd keep it nice and light forever. But since the addition of my newer lenses, that seems to be kind of a moot point for me now. I'm sunk, lol (and ok with it now).
I've read a ton of reviews by Olympus users over the last several months and most of them recommend going with the E30 [if given the choice between it and the 620]. I was originally wanting the E3, so the 620 wasn't really on my radar. In that case I'd just stick with my 510. This camera, from what I can tell, seems to be in many ways better than the E3 (at this point in time). If they do come out with a largely improved version of the E3, I'll have more deciding to do. But I think this will make me fairly happy for a while. Believe it or not, just with the addition of the 50-200, my pictures have improved dramatically. For the first time ever, I can batch process my DS's baseball photos. I figure they can only get better on the 30 which is supposed to have better dynamic range. We'll see. I'm a little nervous about being a newb again, but I think I know my 510 well enough that I can hopefully transfer my skills fairly easily.
UPS called last night to say they were coming today.
