Olympics 2010 in Vancouver

I know it's five years away but is anyone else excited about this? I think that BC is a wonderful place for the Olympics. I only wish I lived closer. Who knows though - by then I might.

I am pretty excited about it and hoping to attend the games with my family. My brother and sister both live in Vancouver so we haev already begun chatting about it. Going to the Olympics at least once is something I wanted to experience at least once.

The thing I find most exciting about it is that they won't be held here in Toronto!

I was really crossing my fingers that they'd land somewhere else.

We're excited that the Olympics are coming to our city and Whistler. We live minutes away from where they'll be putting in the skating arena. We also have a condo in Whistler which overlooks the Dave Murray ski hill, the site of many of the Olympic events. All very exciting stuff and just 5 years away. We're hoping that the snow gods will bless us with lots of that white stuff!!!

A lot of the construction is about to start now, with the designated areas being prepped for building.

What an honour for Canada and this is especially great for the image of BC! Now everyone will get to see what a beautiful region it is.
