Hi, quick question, is the wait time for ollivanders posted in front of the store or somewhere? Just wondering how you know what your wait time is when you get in line.

TIA!

It's not posted. The TM at the door or the one at the other end of the queue--if there is one--will give you their best guess.

FYI, There is no shade so if in the summer, it can be brutal. Has to be the worst line I have ever been on. They really should do something about the line. One person actually passed out.

The queue has just been redone and it now works its way behind where Dragon Challenge exits. Not sure if they are going to cover it or not.

When I went last week, I was surprised at how quickly the line moved. I had skipped this in the past because the line seemed so long, but what I didn't realize what that they take a large group in at a time, so the line is somewhat deceptively long.

They take roughly 25 people at a time, but at intervals approaching 10 minutes apart. The queue is boring and outside, therefore subject to the elements.

My best advice is if Ollivander's is on anyone's must-do list, they must get in line for this first if you have Early Entry--even before Forbidden Journey. Otherwise, they will find the wait generally long and brutal.

And if you don't have early entry? Still first thing, or just be prepared for a long wait? We're going for the first time on Jan. 8, and DD14 is such a huge fan I don't know that I'll be able to talk her into skipping the show.

Still first thing. From what I understand that line never seems to get smaller.

If you want to be sure, then yes.

However, there are plenty of reports of the queue getting shorter near park close. I personally observed no one in line one offseason night about 20 minutes before close. Be careful with this tactic though, as they will close the queue early if enough people are already in it.

We were there on Saturday 12/17. At 9am the TM at the line said 60 minutes. We skipped it. At 5:30 the TM said 25-30 minutes and it took us about 20 minutes. I enjoyed the sbow and was glad I waited.
