With all the worries about Swine Flu & my chronic illness/depleted immune system, we've decided to cancel our breakfast buffets. We're looking at regular table service ones instead.

It's just DH & I. We are not commando Park people after all these trips. DH loves breafast.

Can anyone tell me about Olivia's at OKW for breakfast? The menu looks good. We're staying at the Dolphin. We'd probably have to take a cab over. Would it be worth it?

IMO Olivia's is Disney's best kept secret. It's up there with Kona. DW and I had breakfast there over Labor Day and I have to say the banana bread French toast was out of this world! DW had a salmon eggs benedict (which got two thumbs up from the official taste tester :goodvibes). I've looked and the menu has changed on that item since, but still overall a very good experience. It is definitely worth the trip over. Also they have covered outdoor seating, which was enjoyable. The bloody mary is tasty too! Enjoy!

We usually stay at OKW and have had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Olivia's at times. It is usually very good. Quiet, good food and nice atmosphere. We love to sit outside at lunch. Have a good time.

We haven't been to Olivia's in over a year, but back when we used to stay at OKW we always enjoyed the place for both breakfast and lunch.

In fact, we'd *always* eat breakfast there before a long day in the parks.

It does have a sort of "mellow" feeling, with lots of crazy stuff on the walls and Disney's attempt to recreate a Key West vibe.

I've read some less than positive reviews of the place as of late, but the same can be said for most any Disney restaurant these days.

But. Keep in mind even at The Swan's breakfast buffet, you can order a breakfast entree from the menu that is made to order and doesn't come from the buffet. Plus, they have fresh squeezed orange juice and some of the best coffee in all of "the world".

Laid back, as it should be at Old Key West. We had dinner there last year during the only rain storm of our trip. Fantastic service great atmosphere.

Enjoy!

We'll definately be having a breakfast at Garden Grove, but during the week. Weekends it's a character breakfast, which we're not so into anymore. I was thinking about Olivia's for a Sat. Plus we like to try new places (which is getting harder to do, lol)

Sounds good. I think I'll go ahead & switch our Boma to Olivia's.

I agree; Olivia's is one of the best kept secrets there - I love, love, love Olivia's.

We ate at Olivia's for dinner during our November trip for the first time. The food was insanely delicious. The service was good. The atmosphere is pleasant and casual. My only complaint (if that's what you want to call it) is that the floor is tile and the inside dining area is pretty open, when we went there were probably only 4-5 other tables with people at them and they were all having normal toned conversations but it was still noisy (although I don't know if it ever gets 'packed'). We all said if we go back again (which we would) we would request to sit out on the patio.

I'd never been to OKW before so it was also a great time just to wander around the resort.

Love it. :thumbsup2 Always have at least one breakfast there even if we are staying at another resort.

We stay at OKW often and always eat at Olivia's. We love it! We're planning on eating there on our Jan trip. I get to make our ADR's on Sat! :cool1:

Olivia's was one of the best breakfasts I've enjoyed at "The World". And we had lovely outdoor seating to boot. Wonderful. Go. :goodvibes

We had to cancel our Boma breakfast when DH got sick, last month. But then he got the bright idea to check availability at Olivia's for the next day. We have eaten there several times for dinner but never breakfast. We had no trouble getting the ADR on 20 hours notice. We both enjoyed it. I had the sweet potato hash.(I should have asked for the Hollandaise sauce on the side.) I would definitely go again but I want to get to Boma for breakfast first.
