I was wondering how Olivia's might be for Thanksgiving dinner. I know they have a special menu. How is it? And how crowded is it, compared to other places?

We did Olivia's three years ago. It was good but it wasn't homey enough. Last year (and we will again this year) we ordered a spread from Publix. Awesome! They sell you a cooked bird and all the fixin's. You just have to carve. We had some friends over to the one bedroom. And it felt just like home. If Olivia's is the way you are going it will definitely be nice. But it feels more like a restaurant than Thanksgiving. I definitely think it is nicer than the other restaurants would be though.

We did it about 6 yrs ago and it was not good. Appeared to be pressed turkey roast. It was strange. Good thing our son didn't get the turkey and he got a grilled cheese instead. Another time,we ordered a turkey dinner from Goodings and heated it up in the oven at OKW.

Never been to Olivia's for Thanksgiving so I can't comment, but last year we had Thanksgiving dinner at Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. It was PERFECT. One of the best meals I have ever had. The setting was very rustic and very "Thanksgivingy". There was a set menu with three different meals you could choose from. We had the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and it was DELICIOUS!!!. We had the first seating of the evening (4:00), so the dining room was very quiet and relaxing. The service was also great. Really, just a perfect, perfect meal. I felt very thankful that evening.

After dinner we took the boat over to MK, walked around a bit to walk off the meal, then took the boat back over to the Wilderness Lodge, sat in front of the fireplace for a little while, and then went back to our resort (BWV). It was a VERY memorable Thanksgiving, one of the best I have ever had. We want to make it a Thanksgiving tradition, but that will have to wait because we won't be making it down that time of year again for a while. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to remember a special evening.

Thanks so much for your report! As soon as I got off the computer from posting about Olivia's, DH said "Olivia's? I'd rather to go to Artist Point. See what you can find out about that." So this was good timing.

We also ate Thanksgiving Dinner one time at the YC Convention Center. Now this was a great buffet. Lots and lots of food choices. Plus Mickey and Minnie outside the dining room for photos. We'd do this one again in a heartbeat if they offered.

Other places with traditional Thanksgiving dinner include Boatwright's, Crystal Palace Buffet and Liberty Tree Tavern. There are others but I don't have any info.
