Olivia's 3rd Birthday Extravaganza! DDxP,BBB and PP!Oh my! Our 12/10 TR! **Finished**

Wow dinner looks amazing...that's awesome that it lived up to your expectations.

This is definitely one i want to try and fit in sometime...even more so after seeing your pics.

Looking forward to more:goodvibes

Great updates! :thumbsup2 Love the decorated windows, how cute!

I wasn't really impressed by the gingerbread Christmas tree at CR either. :confused3 That's the best they could come up with for one of their MK deluxe resorts? Why didn't they make a gingerbread Contemporary with the monorail going through it? Now that would be awsome!

California Grill looks great! I've never been there but I'd love to try it! Love the sushi they bought Olivia! :rotfl2:

Can't wait to hear about breakfast at Kona, another one I've always wanted to try!

great update!!!

The food looked really yummy! My friend and I went there about 2 years ago in March for a drink and some "lite" food..it was $50+ each by the time we walked out haha. We got one glass of wine, the flatbread, and dessert and it was $50..I guess that's the price you pay! It was our splurge of the month!!

Glad to see everything worked out with you room! As you know, our building 1, 2nd floor room was not so great even though the location was amazing!

Thanks! The food was beyond yummy! I wish I could eat there at least once a week! I am still drooling over the pork! I can see how that would be your splurge of the month!

I'm SO glad we didn't have bugs! I checked everything really carefully too, I was not taking ANY chances!

Thank you Jen! I was pretty happy with how the window turned out! Olivia loved doing it too. When we would come back to the resort each night she would run ahead just so she could look at our window while Toby and I caught up!

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who wasn't impressed by the gingerbread tree! I was thinking they could have done much better-especially after seeing all the other deluxe resorts!

California Grill was AMAZING! I loved everything about it! I'm so glad it lived up to my expectations!

The Kona update should be coming soon, probably tomorrow!

Amazing is the perfect word for dinner! We really did love it, and will definitely be returning! I would recommend it to anyone! The menu was so diverse, there is something there to please anyone.

Started reading your TR today and now I'm all caught up! :) You got a lot of great photopass shots so far. Lion King is our favorite show at Disney World and we make sure to see it every trip.

On our last trip we were with DW's parents and sisters and they all thought it was weird that I was taking pictures of the food. I decided I would only take pictures of my food and DW's, when I remembered to that is. I have a lot of pics of food with a few bites taken out of it. :confused3 So far, you've eaten at two of the places we're planning on trying for the first time on our March Deluxe Dining trip and we're planning on trying breakfast at Kona for the first time too. Yak and Yeti looked delicious. We tried the CS on our last trip and liked the chicken. California Grill looked great, but I am a little afraid of heights so the viewing area might make me a little apprehensive at first.

I'm looking forward to reading more about your trip! :)

:welcome: I'm so glad to have you here!

Yeah! Another FotLK lover! I seriously can't get enough of this show!

Sometimes I forgot to take pics of our food right away too. It was pretty funny though; it became a game to try and make the plates look pretty again. As a matter of fact, the picture of the pork tenderloins was done this way! We had both already started to eat, but Toby actually arranged his plate (and even cleaned off the edges) to make it look pretty again!

We really did love Yak & Yeti, and will definitely be going back! California Grill was wonderful too. Toby is afraid of heights as well, so he was a bit unsure of this choice, but he said he had no problems with it, and was pretty OK even out on the viewing deck. This is coming from the man who thinks the top of the hill of Goofy's Barnstormer is too high! :rotfl:

I'm glad you're enjoying the TR so far! I will do my best to keep you entertained!

I have never tried CG and I don't know if I really want to. But I do keep hearing how good the food is so maybe if I ever go without the kids I will try it

I just found your trip report today and I'm all caught up! Your daughter, Olivia, is such a cutie pie! Not to mention... my 3 year old son, Jake, definitely agrees! He was sitting next to me playing his Leapster while I was reading the report and when a picture of Olivia came up on the screen, he looked at it and was like, "Ohhh she's cute Mom!" :goodvibes

Do you recommend the deluxe dining plan? We're hoping to be down at Disney in September/October next year and I can't figure out if we should just go for the DxDP or stick with the regular. (... I really want to try a few 2 credits!)

:welcome: Glad to have you here! Thank you! We think she is pretty cute too, but of course we are a bit biased! You have quite the handsome little man! Jake is too cute! I'm sitting in the kitchen on the laptop while Olivia eats and she is being her usual nosy self, and she saw Jake and said that he looks good because he has on nice clothes! :rotfl: Kids really do crack me up with what they say sometimes!

I have to say, we really liked the DxDP! I say if you can afford it, go for it! We never felt disgustingly full, or dreaded going to the next meal because we weren't hungry. I think as long as you do 2 credit places and space out your meals it will work out wonderfully! It gave us the chance to try so many new places (of our 14 meals, only 3 were repeats). So I say, go for it!

Congrats on the new little bundle of joy on the way! I love the name Mallory! It's funny looking at your pregnancy ticker and seeing that you are just over 31 weeks along....that's about when I had Olivia!

Haha, it's hilarious listening to what kids say for sure!! :rotfl:

Thanks for the advice on the DxDP! I think since I really want to try a lot of 2 credit places, that it'd be so worth it!

Did you go into pre-term labor with Olivia? I got SO scared the other day because I thought my water was leaking, but luckily it wasn't. A part of me has a gut feeling that she'll try and come early because I've been having so many more BH with this pregnancy, etc!

Nope, no labor for me! I got super sick-my blood pressure shot up, my kidneys shut down, and all my other organs started to shut down too so they did an emergency c-section. My kidneys were so horrible that I actually gained 38 pounds in fluid weight (since my kidneys didn't work=no peeing=all the fluid stores in your body). It was pretty scary since I almost died, and then worrying about Olivia in the NICU (and we were in a hospital an hour away from home). Everyone ended up being fine, and looking at Olivia today, you would never know she was a preemie!

Oh wow! I am SO glad to hear that the both of you are perfectly healthy! That had to have been super scary, but thank goodness for awesome NICUs/doctors these days!

I'm back and I'm finally caught up! I love all of your updates! Olivia is always so adorable!

I can't believe that girl sucking her thumb on the safari! That is weird. John would have freaked out because he can't stand to see people sucking on their fingers! :rotfl:

I'm here! Going back to actually read now!

ok...back :) Bet you didn't even miss me! OK seriously, do you take a bad picture??? You always look so cheerful!!!! Olivia looks so tall! Did she get tall??? Yay for her getting into FOTLK! And OMG California Grill. I so want to go there. Dont' want the $200 bill but definitely want to go there.

Can't wait to read more

I'm joining in on this report:thumbsup2
I also have an Olivia...although she is 12. I do have a 3 year old..Alexa...and 2 older ones, Kayla 20, and Jonah 15. You have a sweet little family:) and I cant wait to read more:thumbsup2

Thank you! It cracks me up that everyone says she is always cute...I should take some pictures of her during her "not so cute" moments! :rotfl:

I still can't get over the thumb sucking! I just kept thinking about everything that she must have touched and then put her thumb in her mouth...YUCK!!!

YEAH! I'm so glad you made it here!!! For the record, I did miss you while you were gone for those quick few minutes (even though I didn't technically know since we were eating Toby's birthday cake :rolleyes1)

That could seriously be the nicest thing anyone has said to me in a while. :worship: You are too sweet! But seriously...yes I do take horrible pictures, but the beauty of being the author of this lovely TR is that I can pick the nice pics of me, and put the goofy ones of everyone else in!!! :rotfl:

Yes! She is getting taller! She had a pretty big growth spurt over the past few months. When we went to MK on 10/2 she was still pretty close to not making it on the Barnstormer (35 inches), and this trip she was only about an inch short of the 40 inch rides...she sure came a long way from 16 inches at birth! It seems to be all legs too, which is funny, because Toby and I have pretty short legs.

I am totally in love with California Grill!! You and Randy should go when you take your 10 year anniversary trip!

:welcome: Yeah, another Olivia! Daddy of Princesses has an Olivia too! What is your Olivia like? Our Olivia's are both very headstrong...we are thinking it has something to do with the name... :confused3

I'm glad you're here, hopefully I can keep everyone entertained and around for the whole TR!

Oh my, how scary, so glad both of you are okay now. i can't imagine how scared you were! Will you be guys be growing your family at all? I am nervous about trying again, i too had a rough delivery (he nicked a vein coming out, was bleeding out and they couldn't find where to stop it). plus i had a miserable pregnancy- morning sickness really bad from 7weeks-14 weeks- i had to take time off work i was so sick!

Headstrong would be a good word for our Olivia.....SO independent and she gives us the most challenges of our 4 kids:lmao:

I feel your pain there! I had horrible morning sickness with Jake AND with this one. With Jake, it was from about 7 weeks to 23 weeks... and then came back at 33 weeks for 2 weeks :scared1:

With this one, it started at like 6 weeks and JUST went away about 3 weeks ago. It was ridiculous! The kids are lucky they're so cute ;)
