does anyone else feel that the older ones were/are better than the newer ones. I mean yes i do like the newer ones but i feel that the older ones will always be better.

i think the other one are better on one hand, but then I see pics of :lovestruc Hayden Christensen :lovestruc in the trailer for revenge of the sith and I go weak in the knees!

I prefer the older ones but I have to say the previews of the newest one looks really good.

Definitely the original series. Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is the best of the series, followed by Episode IV: A New Hope.

The newer movies have lacked something, but I think it's because millions of fans had years to imagine their own individual visions of what it would be like, and that lead to the inevitable disappointments.

Hopefully ROTS can adequately fill the gap between the young Anakin and the menacing Vader. According to early reviews I've read, it does.

What I'm looking forward to is that lightsaber duel between Vader and Obi-Wan -- reportedly 12 minutes long. :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

i agree. older ones are better. i especially dont like how, with all the new technology, they completely computerize the characters. like yoda and jabba. i dont like it it looks fake.

ITA.

And when Lucas went back to "improve" some of his older films with digitized scenery... :sad2:. And the changes made to some of the scenes at Jabba's palace and the addition of a "galaxy-wide" party at the end in Jedi-why??? :confused3 I guess I just disagree with changing a film that had its historical place.

And let's not even talk about the ACTING. (Ok-Mark Hamill wasn't the most gifted of actors but some of the acting in the 21st c. Star Wars is really, really bad. Natalie Portman's just picking up her paycheck, and they obviously didn't scour the galaxy looking for the perfect young Anakin-or older Anakin, for that matter.ETA: Ewan Macgregor, Ian McDiamid -who was also in the older- are fantastic, come to think of it.)

BUT-I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO THE ROTS-lol. :cheer2:

I definately prefer the older ones. The relationship between the characters in the originals just made those movies. I really think that if Lucas had done the films in order from the beginning, he wouldn't have gotten past the first film. IMHO the actors in the new films just don't mesh. There is no warmth there.

I for one like them all, because they all have a purpose and this will become more clearer once they are viewed one after another.

May the force be with you
