Older girls @ Bibbiddi Bobbidi Boo

Thanks for the compliments. They had a BLAST!! I did see some "older" Princesses in DTD who visited the Boutique. Both girls had the Crown package and there were three hairstyle choices. DD#1 did the Pop Princess--the braids are a reusable halo thingy. She also got a set of Mickey-shaped hairclips. DD#2 chose the Fairytale Princess and she got a tiara and this adorable Mickey barette (sorry it's so blurry). Both girls got an extra set of nails and the extra makeup. There is a Photopass photographer on hand at the Boutique. Also, if you head over to the scrapbooking store there is Princess registry for your Princess to sign and a Photopass portrait studio-type set up. It was well worth the $$.

I'm so glad I'm not the only adult who wants to take part in BBB. I have 2 boys but no daughters so I miss out of all of the girly things. I'm going next week and may try and pop in for my own Princess doo.
They also offer a "Cool Dude" package for the Princes..

This 33 y/o princess did it in May and am going again with friend in dec. There are three hair styles for princesses to choose from. I had fairy tale style.

I'm a 40 y.o. princess! I didn't do the BBB but I did get Pixie Dusted at the MK this past Friday! It was so FUN! Unfortunately, right after that I went on SM and got hammered by a cannon and lost a lot of my PD

I will definately be doing it again at Christmas though! I KNOW I can embarrass my teenagers if I walk around the park with PD in my hair all day!!!

PrincessPatty,

I'm glad you asked! I'm 33 years old and I want to do it too! I think it would be so much fun! princess:

OK, I confess, I'll be there for my 40th in two years, and want to do that, so don't feel bad!

Jules

Another 40-year-old princess checking in here! I can't believe how quickly my thought process went from thinking how this could be a lot of fun for my DD6, to thinking 'HEY! *I'M* the one who has always wanted the tiara!!'

The cool thing about getting further along in life's journey (didja notice how I sidestepped using the word 'older' there?) is that you stop caring so much about what other people might think of you. Also, you start using the word 'whippersnapper' a lot more often.

Back on topic, I so very much want to do this someday! Do they offer a real manicure as part of the package, or is it only the press-on nails?

Thotfulspot,

Me too! I've ALWAYS wanted to wear a tiara in the MK, but in years past felt I was "too far along in life's journey" to do so. Not anymore...I'm in that phase of starting not to care what others think of me either and it's fun! Can't say that I've started using the word whippersnapper yet :rotfl: but it can't be too far off...I've already started complaining about rowdy teenagers! You know, I was NE-EVER rowdy when I was a teen... :rotfl2:

To all 'older' princesses (myself included),

This confirms it! From the Allearsnet newsletter:

You think the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is just for little girls? Standing in the doorway, I must have looked dreamy-eyed to the Cast Member who saw me and said, "You can do it, too!" There is no maximum age limit for becoming a princess at the Boutique. I’m booked for my birthday... my 56th birthday!

I am SO there! :cool1:

One question though. . .does anyone know how early in advance you can book BBB?

on 11/20 we're celebrating our DD's 7th bday starting with Chef Mickey and then to Bibbidi Boutique.

I booked the Castle Package for the 7yr old......but also booked the Crown Pkg for her teen sisters who are 15 & 17. They'll feel left out if I don't plan it for them and the three don't get to do much together because of the age difference. Since we won't be having "friends" for a party that day...the sisters will have to be the "guests".

This is done at the Barber Shop on Main Street at the MK. We went first thing in the morning this past Friday (8/11) and there was only one other person there. I asked about getting a Mickey head but they said I have too much hair and it wouldn't look right. I didn't want to go all out with gel and other stuff so they just "glued" all kinds of confetti all over my head! And the best part was... FREE!!! It only took a second and it was fun to have people ask me about it all day. I'm hoping to get there early enough on NYE to do gel AND confetti! Nothing like embarrassing the 18 and 15 y.o. all day!!! :rotfl2:

I was just coming here to ask the same question, because I also saw the tip in AllEars newsletter today.

My DD is 15 and I'm 46. We're going in 3 weeks and I want to go as a surprise for her.

You've all convinced me to do it! :)

I think you just convinced me too!!! :cool1: I was thinking it was for little ones only and my dd14 and I would be left out. I would love to do it, now I only have to convince my starting to be too cool dd14 to do it! Has anyone have any teens who have done it?

Oh yes! Now that you mention it, I have seen the photos on allearsnet. I love the Mickey shaped confetti! Sooo cute! I'll be sure to stop by first thing in the a.m. to get MY pixie dust! :cool1:

Whoo-hoo! I know I can't wait! I never really got to do much 'princessy' stuff growing up due to financial reasons (it certainly wasn't because my parents didn't love me  ) so I kinda have this need to make up for lost time. I think my mom thinks I'm nuts sometimes because I love girly stuff so much (dolls, tiaras, girly things) at age 33, but I say inside every woman, no matter her age, is a little princess just waiting to get out and express herself! princess:

YAY! Isn't it exciting? It's going to be hard for me to have to wait 9 more months to have my appointment! It would be so cool if all of us could have our appointments around the same time on the same day. . .can you imagine the look on the CM's faces? The Queens are taking over! :rotfl2:

I think the OP posted pictures of her DDs after their BBB appointments. The oldest was 13 and she looked like she loved it!

Oops. . .it was the 2nd poster, not the OP who posted the pictures of her daughers. . .sorry about that!
