Old Yeller Dog Food - Approved straight from the mouth of Ei$ner!

Not exactly, as with any process, data collection is critical.
I find that by gathering as much information from as many different sources as possible, and by reviewing the body of work in general, then drawing my own conclusions from the preponderance of those opinions is a reasonable and balanced method.

That's a good method, you should try using it sometime.

Here's something equally novel you might try:

In reality if it wasn't for Eisner's leadership during the 80's and early 90's, Disney would probably now be a division of AOL Time Warner or some other large media corporation. I do think it's time for new blood and that Eisner's time has come to step down, but he is also largely responsible for the long term success that Disney has enjoyed the past 20 years.[/QUOTE]

Amen.

When someone says to me, I don't like Michael Eisner, I ask them what they like about WDW and of course their list is just endless. I tell them that they can thank Michael for all their favorites at WDW. They always have this shocked look on their face.
Michael has made his fair share of mistakes but today you would be going to sort of 6 flags park if he had not taken over.
I honestly believe in time, people will look back and realize what a great job he has done with WDW.

ROTFLOL hugsquared!!! :teeth:

I have no problems with anyone here!
The op posted a thread that was well intented with humor (perhaps a few small things could have been changed in retrospect - but we've all done similar things I'm sure)

It was in that spirit I posted some quotes that supported the idea that Old Yeller dog food was indeed kind of funny - then things went off on the ever popular anti-Eisner thing. My good friend, the honorable Disney Gator, for some reason thought the quality of at least one of those quotes was
'sub-par'. After which the ever jolly Mr. Gator, went on to imply I could only know something that a specific web site told me how to think about it - to which I replied that I look at alot of websites and information sources to draw my own judgements on all matters. Finally my good friend suggested I might try following my own methods, to which I merely suggested that a higher level of decorum should prevail.

As to the kissing aspect of our future reconciliation....I think it only fair to clear that with my wife first! :earboy2:
;)

I can see it now. All these people will start feeding this food to their dogs and the vet bills with climb. Why do people think just because it says balanced, it is good for the dog? There is no way that a high quality dog food will be sold 50lb for $11.99. Might as well be feeding ole roy from Walmart. My dogs are my children, even thought I have human ones now, also. I wouldn't consider feeding a cheap dogfood to them. I'll have fun once I get my hands on the ingredients of this one. :rotfl2:

If you don't tell, I wont...but everyone else on here may say something to her :earseek: LOL...now we're all one big happy family again <sigh>...I can go to sleep now.

A few points.

1.) This isn't appropriate for theme parks, so I'm moving it to rumors and news.

2.) I don't care who approved it. Someone (or some people, as the case may be) had some serious brain farts with this one. I buy what's cheap for my dogs. It's not because there's a brand associated with it. If that were the case, I'd probably buy Science Diet, Eukanuba, or Iams - certainly NOT Old Yeller brand.

3.) Read DisneyWar. It comes from a source NOT within the Disney company so it is NOT biased. Michael Eisner is not nearly as responsible as one might think for everything good that's come out of the company. If Frank Wells had not been at Disney until 1994 - everything that you list as a Walt Disney World success might not be there. Eisner always thought of himself as the next Walt Disney, and after Frank died - he was free to see to it that he got his way. Everything that has been bad for the company has been at the hand of Eisner, and the bad, in this instance, far outweighs the good. The Go.com purchase, the ABC and Family channel purchases, EuroDisney - all of these are multi-billion dollar mistakes that are draining the company. They were underperforming when they were purchased, and Disney paid WAY too much for the aquisitions. (Except EuroDisney - which was Eisner's baby, and he just completely made false assumptions about European vacation habits, and ignored people when they told him about this - that was not an aquisition, but rather completely at the hand of Eisner)

But this was a thread about dog food. So it doesn't really matter! ;)

biased meaning it has a slant in favor of the company. My apologies for a poor choice of word! :teeth:
