Skyway at WDW was closed in 1999.

And I really enjoy history and stories, pics of the old attractions when they ran.
The tomorrowland station still stands next to Space Mountain.
I asked a few cm's about the building and the youngest (19 maybe) of them all was the person with the most knowledge of it.
The Fast Pass attendent at Space Mountain said that the gondolas are stored in the upper platform of the building where the skyway used to make its turn. Is this true?

I was wondering if .....

1. Besides the TL station ...are there any other telltale signs still left in the magic kingdom of the skyways existance?

2. Any one out there have a story about riding it?

3. Any photos ?

4. Reasons / rumors why the skyway was removed.

5. Any other fact or history of this or other wdw closed attractions?

I have a facination with old amusement rides. I used to live in Brooklyn and I would often go to coney island and park at the boardwalk next to the old parachutet jump.
On a sunday morning you could almost hear the laughter from the past. Although it has since been painted and now part of Keyspan Park. it still is a site to see.
Anyone else share this interest in rides?

Thanks for reading
