Old, unused Undercover Tourist Ticket Question

Good afternoon,
I have old, unused UT Tickets that we will be using in June. I bought them two years ago before ticket prices went up. They are pre-RFID tickets. Will I have to excahnge them for RFID tickets? If so, where do I do that? Will we enter through the gates first then exchange them? We are not staying onsite so we won't be getting magic bands.

If you're getting Magic Bands, you can scan the old tickets into your MDE app with a smartphone. If you want to use tickets, you will have to exchange them in the ticket line. Those lines STINK, so if you're staying on property, depending on HOW old, the Guest Services at your hotel may be able to do it. I got sent to the park, and I wish I had gone to TTC, bc lines were much shorter there before off-site guests came in. Either way, you should probably exchange them at some point in your trip, even if you do use MB.

They are called the "Tyvek tickets or magnetic strip tickets" and you have to take them to any Guest Services location and they will convert them to an RFID card. My resort said they did not have access to the necessary "computers" to do the conversion but since you are off site that doesn't matter. Once converted, I would write on the RFID card what the tickets are e.g. 2 day hopper or what ever. So bring a Sharpie... I had to do our whole set last trip, not a big deal... Every park has a GS window before the gate or if you are close to DTD the guest services there can do it for you (where i had mine done). It is down near the Ghirardellies (if i remember correctly). Takes about 5min per ticket. Easy.
