Intend going to the Old Town on Saturday in July for the car rally (believe it was on TV last night but I missed it)

We won't have a car so we are Lynx bussing it there and probably taxi-ing it back - staying on Disney property. May take advantage of eating at Old Town whilst we're there - have been to Denny's and Western Sizzlin (we weren't too keen on this was - but it was breakfast).

According to my old SEE Orlando book there are few others which are walkable and I wonder if you had any recommendations? Looks from the map that there is a Brannigans and a Las Vegas buffet. Also how are the pavements now in that area - last time we were down that way the roadworks were still on and walking along the 192 even a short distance was 'challenging'.

The ribs at Damons in Old Town itself are tremendous -well worth it.Damons is just at the front of Old Town on the right.

Damon's in Old Town is very good. Las Vegas Buffet is not in Old Town it is on the 192, approximately about 5 minutes walk from Old Town. It is a very good buffet restaurant serving American/Chinese food. There is also a Ruby Tuesday's next door to Las Vegas Buffet and when we were there last year a Sushi Restaurant was also opening.

Damons is fantastic, but don't order too much you get LOADS!!!
The ribs are amazing! Verity.

Another vote for Damons - huge portions great food.

I can almost taste it!!!!!;)

Hi, we were there in April and the roadworks on the 192 are completely finished and the pavements are good to walk around on - if you can avoid the sprinklers watering the grass!!

Not sure on restaurants in Old Town, but there's loads in the close vicinity - KFC, McDonalds, Pizza Hut, Red Lobster, Bennigans, Ponderosa, Italian, Chinese Buffet, Dennys plus others I can't remember the names of.

Have a good time.

not quite walking distance but I would definately go to the Outback Steakhouse as it was our best meal in Florida this year. Situated on the Dyer/192 intersection.

Might mean a cab but well, well worth it.

The frosted beer glasses are so cold your hands almost stick to them!

Steaks are not enormous but must be the best marinated/seasoned around.

Prices approx $30 per person for 3 courses & a beer.

Have only eaten in the Damons on IDrive. Is the Old Town restaurant as good/better or worse than that? Must agree though the ribs were superb and the onion loaf was also great.

Las Vegas Buffet appears to have failed its health inspection, so caution is required Carolyn
