Old tickets on a room key question....

The first time I went to WDW, we stayed in the FW cabins and got our tickets added to out room keys. We kept having trouble with the data being erased off of the keys and we had to get new keys 3 times. The last CM that did it finally told us not to put them with a credit card. Now it has been 5 years and I have 5 keys with one hopper day left on them. If they are erased again, can they look up the info still like they can for a regular mylar(paper) hopper. I really don't want to lose those days.

Hi there- if the magnetic strips are erased again, I'm not sure they'll be able to do anything for you, because there might not be a record of it anymore. The only thing you can do is go and ask and see what they say. Who knows, but I would certainly ask to see.

There is all kinds of information coded in the number on the "front" of your room key, so yes I'm sure they can retrieve the data.
