Old Ticket Upgrade ?

I have 2 days left on what used to be a 7-day park hopper pass from a couple years ago. Is it possible for me to upgrade the ticket to a 10-day park hopper? I do not want the water park or no expiration option.

Any ideas on the costs of the upgrade? How do they take into consideration my leftover days, as far as credit to my new ticket?

If you trade up a partly used pre-2005 hopper pass you must purchase for your new MYW pass all attributes of the old pass that got exploited. "Non-expiration" with respect to an old pass is exploited when the pass goes 14 days past first usage.

Otherwise the trade up value would be about 2/7'th of what you paid for it. A new 10 day pass with hopping and plusses (water park fun) and non-expiration costs $458.

Since you want an expiring 10 day pass, you are spending 10 theme park days in a vacation up to 14 days long. With hopping a 10 day pass with hopping costs $267. and an 8 day pass (if you want to use up the old pass) costs $262. for an infinitesimal five dollar savings.

THe only good uses for that pass are during some future vacation of 3 or fewer days or during some future vacation when you are using only leftover passes or during some vacation when you will park hop using the old pass on exactly one day.

If i remember reading right, as of Jan 1, 2006 - old ticket media can only be used as-is, and will no longer be upgraded.

As of Jan 1, 2006, Pre-Magic Your Way tix cannot be modified or upgraded to Magic Your Way Tickets. You can still use remaining entitlements on them though.

Thank you for posting this. I was totally unaware that the rule had changed! I have 2 partially-used 5-day PHPs that I had debated whether to use for a dollar credit to new MYW pases. I guess that's one decision I no longer have to make.
