We have two old (say older than 10 years), never expires tickets. I have opportunity to go on a trip with just the adults in mid March and use them. I understand we need to get them reissued, is there any way to make fast pass arrangements in advance? We generally don't go when it is busy so these 2 days in march will already be way out of our comfort zone.

No, unfortunately, you cannot make FP reservations without a ticket linked in MDE. And old ticket media does not have anything on it that will allow you to link it to your MDE account, so you won't be able to use them to make FP reservations in their current state. I dealt with this about two years ago, with a couple of days left on a no-expire ticket with a few days remaining. I called and was told that I could email pictures of the ticket and my ID and they could send me a number that would allow me to link it to my account, but this ended up not being the case. The only thing you can do is swap it out for new ticket media, link that to your account, then make your FP arrangements. If FP reservations are really important, you might consider buying new tickets for your March trip and saving your no-expire ones for another trip. If you do this, I would recommend going ahead and swapping out the old tickets for new ticket media when you are there so that the next time you want to use them you are all set for linking them to MDE and reserving FPs.

The only way to pre-book FPs is to purchase new tickets and link them to MDE.

Then, when you have the 'old' tickets reissued and linked, reassign/move the newly purchased tickets to a fake person in your MDE account. The tickets will remain with the fake person until you are ready to reassign them for a future trip.

Phone the call center. They were able to link an old non expiry ticket to MDE. ticket was from 2006.

Yeah that was what I was afraid of. I think I'll get them swapped this trip and then we will find something else in the area to do. Fortunately there are options beyond Disney that will take my money and not require planning.

When did this change? I was told this in a thread from Feb of last year:

If you don't have one, create a MyDisneyExperience account.
Link everyone in your family (or party) to that account.
Input the numbers on the back of your NE tickets.
The tickets will then show up in your MDE account.

You can make advanced FP+ reservations up to 60 days before your check-in if you are staying at a WDW Resort.
Or-
You can make advanced FP+ reservations up to 30 days before your check-in if you are NOT staying at a WDW Resort.

After you arrive at WDW, only use two of the days on the tickets... just like before.

If your old tickets are not plastic cards with an internal RFID chip,
you can take them to Guest Relations and get new replacement cards
(or you can all use MagicBands.)

and dang I never did it and now we have a planned trip for May. I'm not buying any more tickets!! grrr

Try linking them. Tickets issued around 2007 or later will link to MDE and you can pre-book FPs.

Tickets issued earlier than 2007 or 2006 can't be linked until they get reissued as RFID tickets.

I wanted to come back and let you all know that I called Disney and they were able to put our non expiring water park and more tickets purchased in 2005 from Undercover tourists on my MDE account. You all gave me a little scare there if I had to buy more! I did have to tell them the last time I used them in the park, lucky for me I keep good notes.

edit: also to find out how many visits on them, you have to send front and back of each ticket plus copy of your id to ticket.usage@disneyworld.com.

If older tickets do link to your MDE account, you can book FPs for consecutive days to check how many days worth of entitlements you do have. Note the number of days and then Cancel the FPs. You won't have to wait on Disney to check the park entitlements for you.
