I chatted with Teena a little yesterday. Her shift ends at 6, so Teena and Lauren- another CM at the BC- will be headed to the Solarium at 6:05 if you want to stop by a little early.

Can't make the meet , it's a little too far from up here in Massachusetts...but if anyone goes, give Lauren a hug from me. She (and Teena, too) was a miracle worker with our reservation in March that was CANCELLED by the computer the night before our arrival, due to a deposit glitch. She turned what could have been a nightmarish situation into a great trip for us!

Where do I find you, Teena? I've only posted here a few times so not up on everything. I have seen your name and heard you praised so many times!

I'm the lobby greeter on Sundays and Mondays, 9:30 AM to 5:45 PM. If I'm not there, I'm on break. We are having a Dis Meet for all of the people on our thread tonight in the Solarium of the Beach Club, 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Please join us if you are around. You can see pictures of the first two annual meets on page one of this thread.

Teena, so sorry to read about the sudden loss of your co-worker. I can sympathize as 3 of my co-workers died suddenly and unexpectedly in the last 2 years (2 in their early 40s and one in his mid fifties.)

Oh my goodness. So young!!

I didn't sleep much last night. I got up earlier than normal since I wasn't sleeping good and I'm getting ready to go into work now. I kept thinking of Vic. He was so funny and "bad". Once I was talking to a guest, answering questions about the parks. He came by on his way to the luggage room, stood right in between me and the guest, facing the guest. He proceeded in a real soft voice to tell the guest, "Just act normal. She escapes from the home routinely and they are on their way to get her now. She thinks she works here." Thank goodness the guest knew me or they probably would have run out of the resort scared! On Monday, I was standing in my spot in the lobby talking to one of the managers and he walked by and said, "Patrick, I didn't know it was bring your great-great-great grandmother to work day." He and his humor will be missed!!!!

Teena, if it's working for you, hope you hold onto the Sunday/Monday schedule. So sad to have missed you the last couple visits. Our October stay is Saturday, October 6 through Tuesday, October 9, so we should catch you this time. We all prefer the photo of us in the lobby WITH you instead of the one the boys took last August in the BC lobby with sad faces and a space where you would be!

If they change my schedule, it will be to Saturday and Sunday. They asked me if I would do that since they are the busiest days and they want me there for those days.

Can't wait to see you in October!

Someone in an earlier thread asked me to stop at the PP desk and ask about upgrading to PP+. I asked and his answer was "of course!". He can upgrade it for you.

I am going to try my best to be at the DISmeet tonight! It's my goal!

Here's my dilemma, we are supposed to check out here and move to AKL tomorrow. To change our reservation and stay here, the price difference is $35 a night (obviously it's more expensive at BC) But only standard views are available. Should I change my reservation to here?!?!?!

Off to Typhoon Lagoon today. The last time we were there, a monsoon hit so we didn't get to spend much time there. Fingers crossed its a monsoon-free day!

Hmmm.... I thought the whole point of Typhoon Lagoon was a monsoon!!!

But I had the same experience at Blizzard Beach, so I know what you mean!

Thank you so much for taking time out of your wonderful vacation to help me out. I wanted to activate my PP+ card right away, and I am thrilled to not have to wait to do it in the Parks...thanks again!

And, just my two cents, but I would spend the extra $$ and spend every possible moment I could at the Beach Club!

2 1/2 weeks til our vacation and my son has been plagued with a stomach bug ....he is going on day #3....I am praying that it will get through the house prior to vacation so none of us are sick while we are there ...

Seems like everytime we are getting ready to go, one of the kids gets sick and then I am on edge the whole time worrying we will be sick there. I would just cry if that happens ....

Fingers crossed that he will be done being sick soon and the other son doesn't get it....course they are 7 and 5 and are best friends so chances are.....

Im planning an anniversary surprise for my DBF at the YC in a few weeks and I'm getting so excited! I've never stayed in a Disney resort before! I've been following along on this thread for a while and you all make the resort so wonderful! Hope I make the most of my time there!
