So glad to be going back so soon to BC.

Congrats!!! We were fortunate enough to hit our first F&WF back in 2010. It was awesome! Tons of fun, food & drink!!!!!!!! The only down side was we were staying at the Poly, so we had to drag ourselves - stuffed to the brim with delectable treats - back to the Monorail all three evenings we attended. Not that I am complaining, but I could have eaten and drank so much, much, much more if we could have slipped back & forth through the International Gateway!

Sorry, I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! ;)

Hope you have a blast!

A dd us too! Beach club garden view October 28 to Nov 5. Getting more excited by the day. Hope they announce more events soon.

If anyone who lives in Central Mass heard loud screams of joy suddenly filling the air, I would like to apologize for my whole family. Not only does our calendar put us at less than 31 days until our first visit to the BC, but we received a special little light blue package in the mail. Both DS & DD almost tore the entire thing to shreds while opening it!

Can't wait! Definitely doin' the happy dance!:cool1:

Day 2 on Weight Watchers - I need 10 pounds at least gone before I start my couch to 5k training, which is what I will use to get me started towards the 10 mile ultimate goal. Checking out the Jeff Galloway plan, but I do better with a podcast. I asked DH for a Garmin watch for my birthday (pretty! NOT! LOL) I'm serious about this. Unfortunately all holy heck is breaking out at work so things are getting stressful there. I'm a stress eater so this a good test for me. My mom had deep fried ice cream for dessert today and I didn't even want to eat a bite.

Going to go look at prices for the 2013 TOT weekend... LOL Of course, checking BC!!!! It ends at Hollywood Studios so what better place to stay????

Hey. You got the most important part of this down. You are serious about it.

I have a sister that is a runner. About six years ago after I went through some medical problems and I started walking to feel better. She introduced me to the Galloway books and I got to thinking I could do this. Long story short in January 2009 I did my first half marathon at WDW. A year later I did the full.

I'm not an athlete or a runner. Heck. I can hardly get out of the bed some mornings. But I did it. You can too. Get that 5k under your belt. You will feel a sense of accompishment that will blow you away!

Oh yeah....I love my little Garmin! It helped me a ton.

Hi folks. I thought I should re-introduce myself. I have been lurking for the last couple of weeks. I was on one of the earlier incarnations of this thread back when I was planning my June 2011 BC vacation.

This year we stayed at SSR (trying DVC on for size.) After that we decided that we were buying into DVC. We just passed ROFR on a BCV resale contract. So while I don't know when I'll be back, I am very much looking forward to "coming home" to BCV at some point. :goodvibes

Congratulations!!! That's exciting news!

I really love Galloway, I am reading his training book now and it really makes me feel better and know I can do this and do it without being miserable! I am having a blast with it. I got my Garmin watch and LOVE it. It may not seem like a pretty present but you will be thrilled with it.

And once you get into training, you feel less guilty about fried ice cream :cool1:

:wave2: Feckless! Have you heard about the fitness portion on the Ipod Nano? I'm not a runner but a coworker is and she has the Ipod Nano for helping her with her runs and she loves it. Now, I'm not a runner myself but she loves it. It also has the added feature of music while she runs. Ipod Nano has hooked up with NIke I guess. It might be worth your taking a look at!

I have been thinking about doing a Disney run for a bit now. And you've got me actively thinking about doing it. As I said, I've never been a runner but have had it on my "to do" list for a while. I have a long car ride to my nieces wedding this weekend so I think I'm going to download one of Jeff Galloway's book to read. Who knows, maybe I'll be seeing you at the BC for the TOT race too! Stranger things have happened!!!!:confused3

Thanks! I can not wait to try all the food! DH and I have been talking about this event for 8 years but it is a hard time of the year for both of us to get away!
The gateway is going to allow for much over indulging :rolleyes1
I may have drooled a bit on my computer while looking at menus

Way to go staying away from fried ice cream :thumbsup2 Sweets are my downfall
I have a garmin that I use on my bike but can also take on a run with me. The nice thing about the garmin is that you can upload each day on your computer and track all your stats. I find this to be very motivating for me. I can set small goals. When I started I riding my road bike 15-20 miles 4 days a week. I now ride 38-50 miles a day 6-7 miles a day in the summer and 30-40 miles a day 5 days a week once school starts! I just keep tracking and wanting to do better than the day before :)

Fantastic news!!!

Thanks Teena! Can't wait to say hello again. DH mentioned again last night that I had to keep checking about the Party for the Senses that you told us about!

On ch. 7 news last night they were talking about the heat and then showed a picture of some guy with his snow blower from that miserable winter we had (2010-2011) and I've decided I would still rather deal with this heat than face that winter again.

Couchy and kelleigh1, we'll be there at the same time.

Dee, could you please add me to the guest list. Our next two BCV stays are Oct/Nov and March. Thanks.:cool1:

You can channel that stress. What do I do when I'm stressed? I RUN......and DW wonders why I'm always running ;)

Fellow northeaster here and I remember that winter well. The blizzard in December stranded us at JFK until 3:30 in the morning when we were supposed to be flying down to WDW. DD was 3 at the time and remembers the captain coming over the PA to tell us our flight was canceled. She is now in a panic that something is going to happen that will cancel our flight this year. Thankfully it doesn't snow in July!:rotfl2: I'll take the heat anytime!:thumbsup2

We've been talking about moving to Arizona for a few years now and 2 years ago, we visited in July for my 40th birthday. It was over 100 degrees and we didn't mind it at all. After that winter and even the heat we've seen recently, I'm still ready to move.

Someone was trying to tell me yesterday that the mild winter we had this year is what we should be expecting in the future because of global warming. Obviously she totally doesn't understand global warming. It doesn't mean that we're going to see warmer weather. The GLOBE is warming, not the atmosphere.
