old steak resturant at crossroads

My boss was talking to me the other day that a few years ago, a friend of his took him to Florida for 3 days to look at a restaurant at the crossroads which he wanted to copy in Middleton in Manchester,they did but his mats place closed down after a while, what's bugging him is the name of the Florida place it was over 10 years ago wasn't a chain and it was a one name place.
Anyone remember any old places

Wasn't it Pebbles?

will ask when i see him next week one of the things he did say was that there was an outside seating area which overlooked a lake and inside there was bay type seating

Pebbles was a local chain (four or five outlets) and used to get rave reviews back in the day. We ate at the Crossroads location once on the back of that, but were a bit underwhelmed. I think it had had its day and was on its way out.
