Old seating option at WCC (from 2010)

We ate at WCC in 08 and 09 and we were seated in the quiet area and it was great. In fact you can see the main room from the back room. I didn't see any children in the quiet area. We are 3 adults.

The option isn't available for breakfast because breakfast is very much toned down. If you want a quieter time I would suggest making a 7:30-8:00 reservation.

DW and I will be staying at the WL in early Feb.. I made ADR at WCC, for dinner one night. I hope the quiet area is still there then. I told DW about the new policy and she is looking forward to eating there again.

This may tempt DF and I to go back... we ate here in 2007 and we got seated in the back... we wanted to be in the middle of the action! Our server was quite lame and we really didn't have a dining "experience" which we had gone there for. I think we got some straws thrown at us and that was about it.

Off-topic, but are unlimited milkshakes still available on the DDP?

Perhaps asking if you'd like a "less noisy" area would be a better way to put it---

Oh it's just that when we even walk by the restaurant en route to Artist Point, the noise is spilling out to the lobby area. So it's hard to imagine ANY place inside being truly quiet!!

The new seating area was really quiet. There were only adults in the room and it has nice mission furniture. We ate there 3 times and are going back this Dec. Ohana was louder than WCC and we enjoyed both,

No I don't think so. This is a very old thread. We were there in Feb of this year and didn't have that option.

The quiet area is too small, and to be honest it isn't that quiet! We sat back there last visit and it was a bit more loud than in the main room.
Reason being: The servers bang really hard on the wood door as they come and go. So if anyone is on the other side they don't smack them with the door. About every 2 mins you hear "bang bang bang!!!". It was very annoying. That space back there is small and closed in, so the sound echos. I would rather be in the main room, at least you are away from the banging.
