Old school backpacks good condition...uses?

My kids have way too much stuff & I am weeding through things before Christmas comes and dumps another truckload on the house I have several backpacks in really good - almost new condition. I figure someone on these boards might know if there is a donation/charity that can use these to fill for kids???? I now I could add it to the Salvation Army pile but I thought I heard about someone collecting them for kids that had been through a natural disaster?

I think most of those charities want new bags-I'd give it to your charity of choice.

Do you have a crisis nursery in your area? They are often looking for small duffel bags or backpacks for when they do emergency placements.

Isn't there a charity where they take backpacks filled with little presents for kids for Christmas? Sorry I don't know the name of it, but it sounds like a good idea. I think they'd probably love to have these!

You could check with the schools. Our guidance department collects backpacks for children who don't have one.
