Old ParkTickets no longer produce FP's

I would love it if the guys who do the "Unofficial guide to Walt Disney World" book did a book for DLRP.

Do you mean this one.... Unofficial Guide to Disneyland Paris (Paperback)

Gutted the fast passes made the day! and this will probably be our last trip in high season

if i hadn't already paid for our flights in october, i'd be seriously reconsidering our October weekend trip.

I'll take mine and try them but I'm a bit gutted about this. My gf doesn't like to go on coasters and she'll have to look after our son whilst I go on them. Looks like I'll have to queue on my own for ages.

Can you not either use your GF's + son's ticket to get yourself 3 fastpasses, or alternatively you have 1 fastpass each and they queue with you, then they head down the "chicken exit" that is available on every major ride?

Suddenly it seems like a good idea to splash out and buy a VIP fastpass if you are able to do so, especially if you are going in a Peak Period and don't have many days to stand around and queue for ages.

Using her FP is a good idea, thanks! My son will only be 1 so I don't think he gets a park ticket.

I'm not sure she'd want to queue with me, she hates having to wait around whilst I go on rides, I'd never hear the end of it if she had to stand in line with me for an hour so that I can ride a coaster!.

Don't you think this is why they are tightening up on the issue of FPs, so they can sell more VIP passes. It's not to make life easier for the regular customers!

Wouldn't surprise me tbh.

It is about time they closed the FP loop hole. But agree with Steve vRS that they are probably doing this so they can sell more VIP passes.

ye know we can't use the fp's as dd gets an easy access pass.well if we wanted to go without dd then we could but we like to stay together :grouphug:
this means we have to go and book an appointment so to speak to go on the rides. it's much the same as getting a fp only it's from the cm at the entrance not a machine. these are for Buzz, BTM, POTC, PM and Magic Carpets. The cm's on the other rides just tell us to go wait at the exit for a few mins :thumbsup2

they give us a slightly different handwritten pass and a time to come back, usually about an hour later and we do this.

but one day in may we were approached by a man who gave us 4 fp's for buzz,(and we gave them to someone else) he said he was leaving the park, we explained that we couldn't use them and may be turned away from a ride if we turned up unnanounced with a fp. then he told us we could make a killing by collecting the fp's we weren't gonna use and selling them on to others who were looking a bit desperate.

we just said "oh yeah great idea" with no idea why anyone would be bothered doing it! (better things to be spending precious park time on!) but now that I see all this about ebay fp's and using old tickets to get them i see what he means,

we are spared the massive q's most of the time but i totally get why there's a market there for this kind of behaviour :guilty:, i joked last year about renting dd and her pass out to people on long queues in the park , little did i know then that somebody desperate enough to get on a ride might actually take me up on the offer :scared1:

well maybe not but ye get my meaning :lmao:

i was unaware of this not very pleasant dealing going on and although it doesn't affect me really, i don't like it, and i'm glad it's getting sorted out :thumbsup2
unfairness just breeds contempt and jealousy, that's not what anyone wants in disney

'nuff said by me me thinks :rolleyes1

Can't say I've ever heard or seen anyone selling FP's in the park, think if this goes on it's by a very very small minority and I'm sure it wouldn't cross the minds of any DISers who have used old or VIP passes.

I have never seen this either. I had 2 hotel fastpasses left on the last day of my last trip, I just gave them to a couple as I wasn't going to use them & didn't want to see them go to waste. I would never dream of charging someone for them

I've never seen it either ~ we've sometimes given FPs we couldn't use away and equally have been lucky recipients.

If this does go on it really must be in the minority.

Never heard of it myself either thank god but then I'd never heard of using old tickets or eBay to get fastpasses either :confused3

just for the record we didn't collect and sell on any fp's nor have we ever rented out dd with her easy access pass :thumbsup2

but then we haven't gotten any decent offers yet ….....................

;) that's a joke!!!

How do you get a VIP fastpass? We've been given them in the past, but they only worked for the time we were there. We do have the ebay unlimited fastpass tickets, which helped last time (but then again it was dead quiet, so not really necessary)

You get a VIP fastpass by staying in a suite at any of the hotels. You also get them for staying at the castle club (Disneyland Hotel) or the Empire State club (Hotel New York).

Recently Disney have started allowing customers to buy them and I believe they're available at reception in most of the hotels. I think someone said they cost £50, they're certainly not cheap!

EDIT: According to DLRPMagic it's €80 per person per day!
