Old Park Tickets?

My friend recently found 2 booklets of Magic Kingdom tickets her family bought in the 1970's. The ones with a separate ticket for each type of ride. We have disagreed on what Disney will do if she brings them on her March trip.

I think they will somehow be prorated and she will get a credit toward a 5 day PH. Or else, they won't do anything. By the way, they cost $7.00!

My DH thinks they will let her into the MK for free, since the ticket says "good for admission to Tomorrowland"

Any guesses?

I believe a complete book can be exchanged for a one day one park modern ticket. But if applied to a hopper pass or annual pass it is worth its purchase price, seven dollars. A partially used book is valued roughly like this: 25 cents for an E ticket, 10 cents for an A ticket. Together with the "admission" coupon it all adds up to $7.00.

A partially used book (maybe even a complete book) will fetch a lot more if sold on eBay or via your local newspaper classified ads under antiques.

Better yet, just keep it as a souvenir. IMHO f you do try to trade it in and the ticket agent won't give it back to you (stamped void on every page), abort the transaction and just buy a new ticket.

A savvy CM in the ticket booth will offer you a reasonable cash price out of his pocket for the book(s) (say, $20. apiece) as a pre-transaction towards your purchase of a hopper pass (if work rules permit this ). Almost certainly Disney will make use of the souvenir value of this book which the CM must put in the till after completing a normal exchange or trade in for you.
