old park hopper passes

question about using old park hopper passes that we have. They are from the early 90's and animal kingdom was not yet up. Can we use these to go into AK or just the parks that were up and running at that time and that are on the ticket?

You wouldn't be able to use them for any park that wasn't open at the time of purchase.

However, you might want to consider stopping at Guest Services at any of the parks to find out what the 'trade in' value would be on those tickets.

If the price is right, you could put the value of the passes toward updated, 4 park hopper passes.

From another board:

Take it to any Guest Relations window/office. They will exchange that ticket for one of the magnetic strip type that will contain exactly the same remaining admissions as your old one had. Once you get the magnetic strip ticket, it can be used at any of the four theme parks. There is no charge for doing this exchange.

You definitely don't want to apply the value of the old passes to buy current ones. Admission was quite a bit lower in the early 90's.

You appear to be having a problem believing that it will not cost you to have your old tickets "fixed" to allow entry into AK. Perhaps this will ease your mind.

I have some old passes with leftover days that say they are only valid for entry to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Are those still good?

Yes. Have them converted to the magnetic strip ticket and you can still use them. Oh by the way, once you do the conversion your days can be used at any of the four major parks now.
