The old one was called Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory... Not Charlie and the chocolate Factory.. from what i heard this movie is the sequel to Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory because you know in the end of that movie charlie wins the contest and takes over the factory... and now this dude is i think charlie other wise it wouldnt be called charlie and the chocolate fatory...

I just saw it...it's not a sequel, it's based on the book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

I liked them both. The old one was awesome but, the new one was really funny!

You're thinking of Johnny Depp... he plays Willy OWnka, not Charlie. I don't think that making a new one was supposed to offend anyone who liked the old one...

I liked how it stayed true (sorta) to the book too. In the old one Charlie cheats and takes a drinnk of that stuff that makes you float ( I forget the name srry) and I absoulutly did NOT like that part (as well with the freaky tunnel of doom.)
