I've got some old negatives which are 126 film,
I need ideas on who & where to try next to get them developed.
I've tried all the photogarpghy shops about and everyone has gone digital now, & have been told they don't know of anyone who can help with these old 126 negatives.
I'm trying the uni in northants to see if they can help as they do courses for photograpghy and hoping they will help.
I really want these done because i'm doing a family tree using photo's & there is two pic's of my late grandmother i want as we don't have the original pic's.
I know this might be a long shot but please any ideas of help would be welcome.:) :)
So thinking heads on all :goodvibes

May be worth looking into a postal service such as Topfoto.

Claire ;)

I know that my Father-in-law has been putting old photos and slides onto the PC using a special little gadget he bought that scans negatives.

Afraid I don't know any details

May be best to try and get them scanned. Most flat bed scanners either come with or have available as an option, a film scanner attachment. These are usually for 35mm negatives or slides though - not sure if would take a 126 negative - it should because the 126 format is basically 28x28 while a 35mm negative is 24x36.

The other option is to try and find a local professional lab that may offer negative scanning.

This is one I've used in the past:

http://www.colab.com/main.aspx

or check in the yellow pages for local photographic labs.

Thanks people for the ideas.
I've already had some other different old negatives scanned and printed in the local photograpghy shop but try can't help with the 126 film & they say also they don't know of anyone else that can do them.
I'll keep trying to look as i'm not about to give up yet.

Try a sneaky look at a camera mag in WHSmith. There are usually plenty of classified ads at the back from companies offering this sort of specialist service

I work with a photography freak/geek.( goes to photography club on a friday night. i ask you :sad2: ) I will ask him and if he has any info ,I will PM you.
