We are staying off site & will not receive MBs. I know all my MBs are linked to my account. Our MBs will be 2 1/2 years old and the older version in appearance. Not sure if anything has changed besides appearance so wondering if they will work & battery is ok? Also we have even older MBs from as long as 8 years ago, can we use any or best to use newest ones we have? Thanks!

If I buy new MBs from Disney Store online - can they be personalized with name inside? Will they know our names after I link to MDE? Just thinking of the features we like at WDW

1. Nothing that matters, electronically.
2. Most of the the "most important**" features will work indefinitely.
3. The battery may or may not still be working, but the battery is not needed for most of
the "most important**" features.
4. Those will continue to work for: ("most important**" features)
a. scan in at park entrances and allow entry to the parks
b. scan in at the FP+ entrances
c. open WDW resort room doors
d. scan at WDW food and shopping checkouts.

Operating internal BATTERIES are only needed:
-if you want the MB to activate the
on-ride photos at the 2-3 attractions that have that "automatic sensor" for that purpose.
Also, there -might- be a "feature" or two (in the entirety of WDW) that senses a guests MB and
-might- display the guests name on a monitor that the guest -might- notice.
