Looking to stay at old key west for Easter this year. Any advice on room requests? Will most likely not doing parks. Are any of the pools nicer than the others?
May spend some time at downtown Disney
Kids are 15 and18
The are tired of Disney and like universal and iota better now

This past spring I stayed in bldg 18 which is not a near hospitality house(HH)bldg but it sure is the next best choice. The view was over the golf course and into the Hospitality area which was really nice. Bldg 18 is also next to one of the quiet pools which was very enjoyable and relaxing at the end of a busy day. Bldg 18 is a short walk to HH which I found to be a big advantage. Sounds like you will have a car, so the bus plusses and minuses are not an issue. I really like bldg 18, but of course a HH category bldg is always my first choice.

We like the Turtle Pond area.

Then I'd stay up at Universal, personally, and toss in some park days there. :) Room rates are ghastly for Easter, but the perks cannot be beat for the Universal parks!

We. Stay at Marriott grande vista before we go to We got universal ap last year
We still love the dvc resorts . Just done fro awhile with going to parks

We've also stayed in building 18 and loved it. We've also loved buildings 16, 17, and 15. We always request one of those 4 buildings, in the Miller Road area.

The main pool has a slide, and the hospitality house area has other activities your children might like to do since it is a non-park vacation. And the boat to Downtown Disney leaves from there too.

We like Turtle Pond. It has a lovely pool, Turtle Shack snack bar and convenient bus stop with mostly golf course views. And that great second door from the laundry room into the master bathroom. And a nice walk to the HH area.
