old Key west rooms-1 bdr first floor?

My parents LOVE Old Key West. They stay there every time we come. But im getting married in Disney in November so my grandpa will be with them this time. He cant do stairs very well. So basically they need a one bedroom. My mom says she doesnt think there are 1 bedrooms on first floor? Anyone know?

There are 1st floor 1 bedrooms we stayed in one a couple of years ago. I'm not sure how many there are though. If you request a first floor room due to medical needs you are more likely to get one. I will be needing a 1st floor studio this summer since my DH will be using an ECV.

We stayed at OKW Resort last Fall and stayed in a 1 Bedroom Unit that was located on the 1st Floor. The Unit was very large for DVC unit at OKW is the first DVC Resort. I believe that there are many 1 bedroom units on the first floor as the also act as a two bedroom unit when you have access to the attached efficiency unit. Enjoy your trip!

All OKW buildings have studios, 1 and 2 bedroom units on the first floor. Over 1/3 of all OKW units are on the first floor, except for Grand Villas. Only one Grand Villa has a first floor entrance.

. . . of course, I wouldn't tell her that (right now)
. . . instead, save it for a rainy day when you need a snappy retort

. . . just make sure you call and add to the ressie
. . . "FOR MEDICAL MOBILITY REASONS, MUST HAVE A FIRST FLOOR UNIT"
. . . of course, you might get a non-first-floor unit in one of the three elevator buildings

* When I worked there, I used to run EVERY BUILDING, EVERY FLOOR, on
EVERY NIGHT from 4:00am-6:00am. Yes, the legs got really tired from all
the stairs! Will never take an elevator for granted, again. Even tougher when
having to lug 20-pieces of guest monster luggage up three flights of stairs.
