Hi everyone

We are staying in a 2bdrm at OKW 10/19-10/26. There are 6 of us - 3 adults and 3 kids ages 6,5 and 13 months. What building do you recommend for easy on/off bus and close to grab coffee/drinks in the morning. We stayed at SSR last time and the walk to the bus, pool and place to get drinks was very reasonable. Any advice for OKW? I have seen some great reviews and some not so good ones. We won't be in the room much as we spend most of our time in the park or at the pool. We will be eating breakfast in the room most days and using the dining plan for the rest of our meals. We won't eat at the resort but love to fill our mugs in the morning with coffee/hot chocolate.

Appreciate any advice!! Thanks!

You can request "Hospitality House" area. These are the buildings near the front of the resort. I personally like Buidling 24, 25 on Peninsular Road. They are not right on the main road--so quieter. They are close enough to walk to the main buildings--theme pool, main bus stop, food, etc. There is the Peninsular Rd bus stop just adjacent--and it is the first stop when returning to the resort, so you can get off first.

I also like Building 11. It's also at the front of the resort. And 62/63

Here's a map so you can see what building is where. And remember....you can request, but are not guaranteed a building.

Buildings 11 to 14 and 23 to 26 are reserved for DVC points reservations in the "near hospitality house" reservation category.

We exchanged RCI weeks to stay here. Will we still be able to request any of those buildings?

:thumbsup2

Last summer I traveled with my family and stayed in a 2BR villa (7 of us). Because my dad has back issues and had just had surgery, I requested a building with an elevator and close to the Hospitality House. They gave us building 62 and it was perfect. Quick walk to everything. We loved OKW.

I'm not sure how it works with the RCI exchange, but for DVC it is not a "request" it is an actual booking category. So, for us you have to actually book that category.

Why not just make coffee and hot chocolate in the room? It will almost certainly be better quality than what you'll get from Disney. And it's such a nice time-saver.
