Hi!!!

I will be at Old Key West in... 24 days!!! :)

I wonder if they have refillable mug (with free refill).

And... What do you think of the food court Good's to go? Seems to have only 4 choices of entrees! (By luck, I'm on diet ;) )

Thank you!!! :)

Yes, there's a mug, but no, the refills aren't free. Someone else will have to quote the prices, though, since I rarely buy soda at OKW.

Good's to Go will actually get you almost anything on Olivia's menu if you ask, even though the menu board is quite sparse. We often do the key lime pie :)

So you won't go with the wrong expectation....there is no food court at OKW. There is the full-service restaurant Olivia's and there are snack bars at the main pool and the Turtle Pond pool. As mentioned, you can get take-out from Olivia's as well.

There is a mug program but you pay for refills. Since every unit, including the studios, have refrigerators there really isn't a demand for a mug program. You don't have to walk to a food court for refills...just across the room to the frig. ;)

If I recall, the price of a refill was less than $2. And yes, Good's to Go can get you something from Olivia's.

Just like Pam stated, there is no food court at OKW. You might be thinking of something like Pepper Market (I think that is the name) at Coronado Springs or the food court at All Star Resorts. Definitely not like that. I would take the full kitchen in the 1-bedroom any day over a food court. So, you can fill the frig with diet soda, water and fruit for that diet! Have fun!

Oops! Thank you!!!! :o

It will be my first time in a DVC resort.

You're right FrozenPiglet! I was thinking of those places in All-Star, Moderate or other deluxe resorts!

I'll buy diet soda in grocery and walk to the frig ;)

And... try the key lime pie (thanks Peter!)

We just got back from OKW; they do have a free refillable mug program. The mug is $9.99 with free refills during your stay. The sign does state that the free refills are for one stay only. We were at OKW for 12 days & didn't notice the mug sign until our last day. I don't know if it was just put up, or we just didn't notice it.

You can order anything from Olivia's menu to go from the Good's. All you have to do is ask to see the menu.

Shadeaux -- Welcome back.

That's interesting that the sign clearly states for the one trip. You'll find heated discussion here about the new policy.

LOL, I'm sorry I didn't take a picture of the sign stating the price & policy! I doubt if we would have purchased a mug anyway, but I can't believe I didn't notice it until our last day there. One other day I even commented to my husband about OKW being the only resort without the free refillable mug program.

Save yourself a trip and use the grocery list at the dvc members site. It's nice to have the frig stocked when you get there! The prices are a little high but aren't too bad and they only charge $5 for the convenience.

We just got back as well - went from 92 degrees when we took off to 52 degrees when we landed. :(

The new refillable mugs with the free refills are the "Summer 2002" mugs. I was told that the regular OKW mugs are still being sold but continue to have a charge for the refills.

The CM at Goods to Go also said that these new "Summer 2002" mugs were made because guests wanted new mugs for their collections. My son and I just laughed (well, not rudely in her face of course ;) ) because we both thought that this was a clever way to begin the policing of the refills.

I heard in another discussion that that they're putting IPC codes on the new mugs and requiring you to go thru the check out line for each refill. They scan your mug and know if it was from your time there or from a friend last month;) I guess it makes sense in difficult economic times:confused:

isabelluss, you'll love the frig, it'll hold all those weight watcher's dinners;) By the way, if your diet does include weight watcher's, they have a weigh-in site at Celebration. I am on a diet, too, down 15 pounds so far, and a whole bunch more to go, so I was very happy to find out about the weigh-in site. At least I'll know the bad news before I get back home:D I will be at OKW 14 days from today!:bounce:

Another Weight Watcher here, up 3 pounds from last week's 7 day trip. I was planning to do better, but Le Cellier's cheddar cheese soup kept calling my name...

And the pretzel bread, and ice cream at Beaches and Cream, and parmesan mashed potatoes at Chef Mickey's, and scones at the GF's afternoon tea, and...and...and...

:)
