Old Key West Exchange Through Interval International

Has anyone been able to exchange into Old Key West through Interval International? I'm part of the Marriott Vacation Club and trying to exchange into a 2 bedroom unit at Old Key West for the end of September or beginning of October. I have put a search in through II for my request. They have numerous units available in August, but trying to avoid the summer crowd and heat. I haven't seen anything past August show up yet. I'm wondering if maybe they hold back releasing the units until a few months out. Also tossing around the idea of booking the last week in August and then paying II for the E-Plus which will allow me to exchange up to three times. This way I'll have a week if something doesn't come through for my request time.

If you pay the $15 to join TUG https://store.tug2.com/newtugmembership.html, you can monitor the Sightings/Direct forum, which includes a thread dedicated to exchanges into D.V.C. August dates are about the latest I’ve seen there, and I’ll say that Marriott owners do seem to see the most.

Before interval international, Disney traded with RCI. We exchanged through RCI many times. There was lots of Saratoga 1 bedrooms, the odd Old Key West 1 bedroom and then after that every other type of unit was very rare to find. I imagine it’s likely that the availability is similar now that they are with II.

@CarolynFH is dead-on! I see OKW in the sightings/direct forum on TUG often with latest in August as of now. Keep looking, and you should come across something soon.

2BRs at OKW and SSR have returned. There has also been an uptick in AKV, BWV and BRV 1BRs---they are still very much in the minority, and it's a crap shoot to hold out for one, but they show up. And, really, they always did. One of my last RCI exchanges was into BRV.

As @CarolynFH mentioned above, joining TUG for the Sightings Board is highly recommended for exchangers.

Thanks for the replies and the information. Looks like September weeks should be posting soon. I'll keep checking and keeping my fingers crossed for my dates. I'm going to check out the TUG site too.
