It would also be difficult cycling thru DS considering how congested it gets. Here is a map of OKW. The dotted line is the "jogging trail" which may be shared by bicycles. As noted, riding on the roadways is not allowed and riding (or jogging) on the golf course cart path is firmly discouraged.
Although not indicated on the map, the trail to SSR (and DS) begins behind Building 55. Bikes may be ridden to SSR ( you will ride past the Treehouse area), but riding at DS is also 'firmly discouraged'.
Enjoy!

No, I can see the posted image on my computer, but here is a direct link from the DVC Resource Center OKW page - https://www.disboards.com/attachments/oldkeywestmap-jpg.165278/is this it?

It is not on the golf course cart paths (which is not allowed anyway). It is a paved walkway suitable for bikes which follows the Trumbo canal past the Treehouse Villas and on towards SSR and DS. To get to SSR, there will be bridge across the canal or stay on the walkway towards DS across the lake from SSR.I didn't know that there was a biking path to SSR by building 55. I thought that you could walk, but it was along the golf cart paths. And I'm sure the golf carts wouldn't be very happy sharing their paths with surrey bikes. Is there a separate path?
