Old Disney Park photos

Kathy, these are some fantastic pictures!! I actually have some pictures of my brother next to one of the turtles (Donatello, I think?) waiting to get an autograph, us in front of "The Lineup" display, and a picture of April waving from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles yellow van.

I went to EPCOT on the 1st and saw the "Leave a Legacy" exhibit for the first time - I do not remember seeing it back in '96 - maybe I just don't remember?

What you all said about the Simpsons are true! Hehe, me and my brother grew up watching them. :)

I can't believe you scanned 600+ pictures in that amount of time.....wow!

Iris - DS and I went with some of his friends to see the TMNT in person at some arena and he was in heaven! And now he has a poster 6 feet long and 3 feet high showing all the Simpson characters; it decorates a wall in his townhouse at school. Since I scrapbook I still have our receipt for "Leave a Legacy" which cost us the amount shown below.

Glad you enjoyed the pics! This thread got me started scanning all those pictures I yanked out of those yucky, adhesive page albums.

Hey Kathy! We're neighbors!

I guess I need to run out and buy a scanner too. Love the pics!

Yup! We're over in Montgomery County but I'm married to a "native Baltimor......." you can finish that nickname I'm sure! Definitely buy a scanner, especially if you have older items and pre-digital pictures. I am having so much fun reliving the trips by scanning in the pics and the park memorabilia.

First off, THANK YOU so much to everyone for posting your pics of WDW days gone by. I literally had tears in my eyes looking at all the memories. See, all but one WDW pic from my youth were lost to Hurricane Hugo and looking at your pics really helped me to relive my WDW memories! :goodvibes

I can contribute a little, though...

I am LOVING all these photos!! A few years ago my dad got some old photographs transferred to files to burn onto a disc. The quality isn't so good, but I did find some Disney ones. :thumbsup2

That's when Minnie Moo actually LIVED in the Magic Kingdom! I think that's when Mickey's Toontown Fair was called Mickey's Starland. Minnie Moo lived at Grandma Duck's Farm. Minnie Moo moved to Fort Wilderness around 1996 and went to the big pasture in the sky in 2001 at the ripe old age of 15!::MinnieMo

holbear - Great pictures! Lucky you to get to go back in '72! I am so jealous since I didn't get to go until '79 and that was as a chaperone with unruly teen club kids on a long, long bus ride!

This thread has inspired some digging into our pasts! :rotfl2:

PrincessV - Sorry to hear that you lost your photos. You and your DS photo is so precious! Perhaps some of the posters here would be willing to send you their digitals if you asked for the years you need. I do have a few 1994 photos that I will be posting later this week. Thanks for sharing!

I can't find any now, but I know that there are several pics of me and my siblings in Simpsons t-shirts at Disney...and yes we all still watch Simpson each Sunday at 7, we just don't wear the shirts to Disney anymore. :)

Thanxxx for all those beautiful pictures....It really took me back to those days!!
Here are some of my old pics....

This one was in Universal in the Flinstones Car with my mom back in 1992...I know its not disney but the world of hanna barbera was so cool back then....

My first trip was in 2004. So I don't have much to share. But I do find it amazing how much the charecters outfits/costumes have matured over the years. I mean the design and detail of today are taken for granted when compared with some of these photos.

Thanks for posting the link! I was stunned to see that you could swim in the lake! Too bad they had to stop it - I guess the water is too dirty now.

When the originally opened the poly they also had wave machines out there to make it seem more like a beach with wave ect

I love the photos everyone! I dont have any photos from my first trip. :(

But i really love looking at all of yours to see how much the park has changed!

Wow ! I just skimmed a few pages and photos, but thanks for sharing everyone!!
I especailly loved all the old ones. We started going to Disneyland in the 70's. I am now in the mood to go visit my mom and look at the old photo albums of the trips.
