I was also 6 in 1985 (yay '79 babies!) and I had the same Minnie sweatshirt! Man, this picture totally brought back my own childhood Disneyland memories..

My first trip was in 1987 (7 years old) and wouldn't you know...I had that same shirt as well! And hair just like yours too! I mean, really...we could probably put the pictures side by side and you wouldn't know the difference between the two of us! Other than the fact that your sis would be my bro and your gramp would be my mom!

Where is this taken? Do you remember? It looks so empty in the background! My parents love telling me about Disney when it first opened and how different it was...no crowds, etc.

Looks like Liberty Square to me, facing back toward HM and the group walking toward Frontierland. The building behind and to the right of them is the Hall of Presidents and to the immediate right would be Liberty Tree Tavern.
