Old Disney cartoons at Polynesian?

When we were at the Polynesian in 2003 (concierge/Hawaii) the boys loved watching the old cartoons (I love the little Indian boy hunting), but when we stayed at the Contemporary in 2005 we could only we them on the lounge by the check in desk. My DH is telling the boys they will be able to see the cartoons again, in our room since we will be back at the Polynesian (non-concierge). Is he right?

1) You need a remote control with channel numbers.
2) Depress channel 96.
3) Simply scrolling though channels will not get cartoons.
4) These are not programmed into the remotes.
5) The cartoon channel is meant for WDW use (like in lobbies).

Yes! We were just there a few weeks ago and my boys loved those old cartoons! They were playing in the room and in the lounge.
