Thanks erionm. Never hurts to have hope.
I like the addition of the photopass and was hoping annual passes now included it. We may have a quick DEC trip to soak in the Christmas cheer. My wife will have to grab a gold annual pass, which will then provide the extras (we have DVC)
From the Passholder webpage:
Passes Purchased Before October 4, 2015
If you purchased a pass before October 4, 2105, your current pass has not changed and your existing Passholder benefits will remain valid through your pass expiration date. Please continue to enjoy your pass as you always have.
When it is time to renew your Passholder status, you may be asked to select one of our great new passes.

I have a voucher purchased before 10/04 - so it will not be a Platinum Pass when I activate it? Someone posted that the computers would treat it as such. I don't really care about the photopass, but free is free!
When there, just go to a photo pass person to get your photo taken and they will give yo a photo pass that you can use for any additional PP pictures. Then you can stop at a PP place to get pictures before you leave or when you get home you have (i think 30 days) to order any photo Pass pictures that you may want. With Memory Maker, you get to keep all the photos taken during your trip, including all ride photos and the additional character photos etc. Once you get home you can download all the digital photos for you to keep.I was kind of hoping I could access photopass with my "old" AP now. I don't understand the difference between Photo pass and Memory Maker, I just would like the Photopass Photographer to be able to take some pictures of me in the parks and have access to download them. That's because it's a solo trip and I usually don't have any pictures of myself in the parks (No, I don't do selfies). But if I can't, that's OK.
Are you upgrading more then 1 AP? Because it will be $120 more for each AP just to get the Photo Pass. If more then 1, then you are starting to lose $$.My AP will expire in mid November, and we are going there one more time in 2 weeks before it expires.
So can I just upgrade my AP (was old pass around $635?) to new AP for the difference of about $120 and get Photo Pass service? If so it'll save us about $40 and it's worth it. Could anyone confirm?
Thank you!
