Which would you choose and why?

OLCC River Island, 2 bedroom

HGVC Sea World, 3 bedroom

We are DH, DS (15), me, baby, and probably company with us (not sure who we will be bringing).

Both look AMAZING! :woohoo: We are all golfers as well. We will be skipping Disney this trip, hitting Universal, Acquatica, and Disney water parks, downtown Disney and Boardwalk area.

I am REALLY tossed about this! The 3 bedroom would give us more room obviously, but the water area at River Island looks awesome!

We have stayed OP once at CBR, once in a 2 bedroom at Summer bay Resort, and one at Rosen Centre Hotel.

Thanks for the advice! :worship:

Orange Lake for the golf.

HGVC for easy access to Universal/Aquatica and the third bedroom.

If you're planning on visiting waterparks anyway, River Island is less interesting. I'd give a slight edge to HGVC, but you can't go wrong either way.

For what you're planning to do I'd pick HGVC for the location and, as it sounds like you'll have a lot of people, because of the size. The three bedroom villas are quite spacious. Very convenient - walkable - to SeaWorld and close to Aquatica. Easy access to I-4 (or Turkey Lake Road) to go to Universal.

While there are (two? three?) golf courses on property at OLCC, HGVC is next to the Grande Pines golf course property (though the entrance is at the opposite end of the property on International Drive).

Now, on the other hand I feel your conflict on this. I'd like to stay at OLCC's River Island because we haven't done that yet. It's a nice resort with the golf courses, lot's of pools, the new water park feature and lot's to do there. And the River Island section is still pretty new. It's relatively easy access through the Sherberth Road backdoor to Disney property and not far from Blizzard Beach water park. Otherwise it's a ways away from most of the other things that you want to do.

With your expected group, I'd go with HGVC and I think you'd be really happy there.

We stayed at the West Village of OL and at HGVC and I would pick HGVC. It is much more upscale property, much better customer service and a much nicer group of people staying there.

thanks everyone. looks like we will have to postpone this trip til 2010. I was hoping to have Dear babr by then, but no luck, And no point in going to Orlando 7 or 8 or 9 months pregnant!
