Is there any fun spots at OKW to hang out and have a cocktail? My dh and I are going on our 1st solo trip in November, I'm so excited!

There's a small bar called "The Gurgling Suitcase." It's in the main, Hospitality House complex. You can enjoy your drinks there or take them out to the pool or into Big Papa's Den (a nice sitting area near check-in).

Have a great time! OKW is our favorite of all of the DVC resorts.

the gurgling suitcase is pretty small and low key.

my wife and i like to take the boat over to SSR and have a few drinks in the lounge outside the restaurant. comfy couches and a TV. or stay on the boat and go to DTD and hit a bar there.

The boat to DTD is really wonderful. It's not a fast way to get there, but it sure is pleasant!

I forgot about the boat to DTD. That's a good idea. First trip for my dh and I without kids, that would be nice.

We second Yehaa Bob at POR Great fun, plenty of places to sit at River Roost Lounge & he puts on a very entertaining show.

Also, think Port Orleans - French Quarter has live entertainment some nights during the week as well at their lounge . . . at least they did a few years back; hopefully someone here can give you more up to date info on this.
