Hello all --- where do you suggest I request my room to be at the OKW?? I would prefer ground floor due to not wanting to walk up stairs after a day in the parks etc but understand it's not a good idea. Also, what building would be best??? Like quiet area with pretty scenery. Thanks! :D

I believe our first 2BR was room # 4714. This was Dec., '01. We were looking out on the golf course, it was very private and quiet, and it helped us fall in love with OKW.

Enjoy!

Quiet area with pretty scenery??? That pretty much describes OKW. You won't go wrong with any location if that is all you want.

we stayed in 2512 during our last trip and it was on the bottom floor and it was great very close walk to hospitality house and very close to the bus stop. we could not have had a better villa, the scenery was beautiful. i would definetly request this 2 bedroom villa again.

:earsboy: :earsgirl: We've been going to OKW every year for 10 years.(Sometimes twice a year). We have never been disapointed in the view from any of our rooms. We always take whatever room they give us. Just once we asked for different accomodations. I broke my foot 2 days before travel. It was no problem, they gave us a ground floor and a wheelchair to boot! They also let us take the wheelchair offsite. We usually get the 2BR suite and Greenhorn & I feel we could live there forever!

We have been going to OKW for the last ten years and always stay in the old turtle pond area. It is very quiet, looks over golf course, has a nice pool and a place to have a cook out. JP:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Sounds like you might be a candidate for one of the buildings that has an elevator. I'm not an OKW owner, so I don't remember which buildings those are (or what the views in them might be like). I'm sure someone else will post and let you know the specifics.

We have been going to OKW for 10 years too, and I have yet to have a room with a bad view... We have had units on all three floors, I can't say I minded any of them. We, personally, have never had any real problems with a first floor unit, in fact we tend to request the first floor a lot because we go with parents or inlaws and they would rather not climb stairs. Only once or twice could we hear the people (kids) above us and it wasn't too bad. Those kinds of things don't bother me too much as long as it isn't at 2 in the morning.. Maybe we have been lucky.

We tend to request buildings 45 or 46 because we like the view of the lagoon and trees, but lately have been trying other buildings as well.

We just got back from our first stay at OKW. We had a 2 BR on ground floor, room #3414. It had a nice view of the golf course, and a bus stop across the street. It was a short walk to one of the pools, but a 10 min. walk to Hospitality House. We were very pleased with it.

We just returned from our first OKW trip. Stayed in building 18 - first floor, pool & bus stop close, HH a short walk away - all in all we'd stay there again. But, like someone else said buildings 45 & 46(?) have a canal view & we'll try for them one of these days.

It just depends on what your priorities are. Have a wonderful trip!
