I have the opportunity to rent points from a friend. Sell me on your favorite DVC resort. OKW, Wilderness Lodge or Boardwalk.

We will be going in March 06. Me, DW, DS 8, DD 5.

Thanks for your input.

My suggestion would be to do your homework and find out which may be best for you. Your friend should be a huge help. All three of the resorts you mention are fantastic properties.

The short answer is OKW has the biggest rooms and the most bang for your points. It is like a big Florida condo complex, but no higher than three stories.
BWV is themed to be like the Atlantic City Boardwalk, with shops and restaurants and within reasonable 15 minute walking distance from EPCOT and 20 minutes walk from MGM.
VWL is real close to MK. We have never stayed there, but we understand it is beautiful and very convenient to MK.

Although I have not yet stayed at Wilderness Lodge or Boardwalk, I have stayed at OKW. I couldn't believe how big the rooms were. But even better than that, the CMs there are fabulous!! Always very friendly and very accomidating. I will absolutely be staying there again.

All are wonderful resorts. As someone already said OKW has the largest rooms. It is also the closest of the 3 to Downtown Disney. BWV is very close to Epcot and MGM and VWL is the closest to MK. It depends on what you want for your trip. Will you be MK a lot? Then VWL would be perfect, if Epcot and MGM are where you will spend a lot of time then Boardwalk would be perfect. If you are going to spend a lot of time relaxing in your villa, OKW is the way to go. The Boardwalk has a lot of activites at night right there, VWL is close to MK night parades and fireworks and OKW is close to DD and PI and all those activites.

And what you are looking for in theming. You can't get more different than those three resorts.

VWL - designed after the great Western national parks. Dark woods. Mission style feel. Totem poles. Tall pines. A "spring" in the lobby that feeds the pool - which is surrounded by sculpted rocks, a waterfall. Dark woodsy colors in the rooms

OKW - a little slice of Florida in Florida. Sits on a golf course. Quiet, but DTD is walking distance. New sandcastle slide at the main pool. I've only seen pictures (and done a drive by), so I'll let its fans do justice for the theme. Bright beach colors in the rooms.

BWV - themed for the turn of the century Jersey Boardwalk, with a pool bar that looks like a carrosel, a slide with a roller coaster theme (and a scary clown at the end of it). Street acts and nightlife. Muted beach colors in the rooms.
